Sam chats with Alex Atkinson from Ulfsark Games about their Kickstarter for skirmish miniature game Taiyo Dynasties.
After enjoying success on his previous Kickstarters Alex has turned his hand to designing his first game set in an alternative Japan inhabited by aggressive anthropomorphic animals.
Sadly most of us were not children when Kung Fu Panda came out but it is nevertheless hard to deny the appeal of martial arts wielding pugs and pandas!

The minis would be great for an Asian themed warband for Burrows and Badgers
I was thinking that, although we’d need to see them next to the B&B first.
I have both B&B and early Taiyo Dynasties models in the room with me, and I can tell you that the wolves are about the same height as Hares & Otters in Burrows & Badgers, while the Panda is sized somewhere between a Wildcat and a Badger. The world of B&B has no wolves or larger animals in it, however, so you’d need to just be doing your own thing and have them count as existing animals – Dogs and Badgers I would guess. Minis and setting look great, gameplay looks very bland. I am not sure they will deliver at £60 or by September this year.
