I like the beasts of war chat system personally – it’s semi-private and real-time – and it’s right here without the need to have a separate program running; Warren, are you getting stylish and professional here? I’m seeing a lot more buttons and collars on you mate, and I’m not going to say corporate sell… but a premium coffee machine… 🙂 nah, you’re looking quite camp, sir!
camp does mean sharp doesn’t it? 😛
I thought last night’s hangout was smooth. Can’t say I noticed the switch to manual from auto-pilot. It probably could only have been improved if someone was playing a piano in the background….. 😉
As non-twitterer, that’s obviously not going to be a platform that suits me.
The hangouts have been brilliant and i’m really liking the behind the scenes vlogs keep them coming guys, doing an awesome job 🙂
I really like the desert table. Do you have any video material about making that?
No but we have put it on the Hobby Lab list to do 🙂
More Hobby Lab!
I’d love to see how you made those sandstone rock hill thingies.
Another +1 for a hobby lab series on this table. It looks fantastic. Where are the cactii from? Bought or made?
Thanks for the update. I’d go with the chat system on here, it makes sense to only have one webpage to have to worry about.
I really do enjoy these behind the scenes updates. I really like the personal touch it brings and it feels more like I am watching friends talk than a random stranger.
Riverside studio looking good. The big time!
New studio looking great. Love the way everything is going I think 2015 is going to be a good year. VLOG, possible weekend gaming etc. Keep it going you can only get better and GOOD LUCK to you all.
AAAAARRRRRGGHHHH WARREN, WHAT YOU DOING?!?!?! YOU SAID “HARD DISK DIE” ON MY COMPUTER!!!!!!!
AAAAAAARRRRGH, I TYPED “HARD DISK DIE”! ON MY COMPUTER !!!!
AAAARGGHHH!!! D: D:
*does the anti-jinx dance*
*then thinks to plug in back-up drive post haste*
Looking good at the Beasts of War secret base.
I favour the BoW chat for hangout stuff. I’ve just recently told both Twitter and Facebook where they can put it. Obviously different for you as 21st century media types but I’d just had enough of constant noise. BoW chat is focused and as Ben says semi-private. That could end up being important with the amount of twats on the interwebs.
oops, apocryphal said, “semi-private” not redben.
I love My Tassimo coffee machine. The Kenco 100% Colombian is really nice.
I really, really like the VLOG, great behind the scenes stuff.
For the live dialog, I think Twitter is the be(a)st option.
Good luck guys.
I don’t use twitter or Facebook so would prefer YouTube or BOW live chat.
Same sentiment as others, I don’t use twitter and I have abandoned FB, so BOW chat it is!
I thought the hangout looked pretty good. Granted, not the quality of your other videos, but it was a hangout…and it was MILES better than most of those.
I’ll add my vote towards the BoW chat system less flicking between tabs/multiple windows
Beast of War chat system!
Looking good in studio. Hangout was good too. You guys are on to something successful at the Riverside!
there is a chat, but theres just normally me, mecha82, cursed13, revliss and cplhicks in it.
looking forward to the WWX coverage though, backed the kickstarter, got 2 starter sets, but so far ive only used the models as malifaux proxies, so looking forward to see how to actually play the game
Love that board, the new studio is looking great guys 🙂
I vote Youtube or beast of war chat!
I’d prefer youtube for the chat in the hangouts, as it keeps things all in one place, which might be easier for you guys to monitor too. From watching the professional 😛 Chilling Wargamer’s hangouts over the last year or so, I’ve seen the hosts having to refresh the comments to see the new ones, so you’d have to give people some time to get their comments in before moving onto the next topic so people don’t get missed out if there’s loads of viewers.
I’m going to echo what others have said. I really like the Vlog’s you’ve done. It kinda has a personal touch. The hangout was very good I thought. I’m not sure how you could improve it other than lighting perhaps. As for the chat/live questions. I, and apparently like a lot of people, don’t use twitter so youtube and/or the beasts of war chat would be best I think.
Warren why not have some volunteers from the beast of war community to be moderators for the live hang out it would provide some additional eyes and hands to help out from time to time. You could assign one person to each form of chat system and have a separate chat on your end with moderators only providing questions and thoughts that come up in each of the different chat logs there for you can focus more on the person you have invited in.
Beast of war has a fantastic community,
