There is nothing like a coat of primer to really bring a project together and really unify the look. I could “see” how the whole thing would look before but the primer just made it all work so much better. 🙂 Another way to distinguish the scaffolding as “not Empire” lies in the “ragtag band of rebels” trope. If you weather different panels of the scaffolds to different levels or wash them with slightly different weathering agents, it will give the impression that the parts are different ages, have varied wear, and are gathered or scrounged from widely different sources.… Read more »
Oh, and the stairs look better than the ramps. 🙂
I’d say that the various Rebel equipment can be multiple colors. The rebellion is not well financed, and they accumulate thier equipment from different sources. They aren’t spending credits on color coordination, ya know. The Empire is about uniformity. Rebels are about getting it done.
Also, I’m really happy to see how the toy handle was… handled. You have three monitoring stations and three engines over the handle
You could easily string some wiring to connect them.
I am in a happy place watching this video, lovely work!
The new direction is looking fing great Guy’s.
Looking awesome!
the changes you have made and the primer have really pushed this project to the next level.
i cant wait to see a game played on it. and not just legion. i could see a game of infinity using it to, just a great multi level board
This has come together very nicely. I’m in awe. It will be an absolutely awesome table to game on.
The ladders/steps are a superb solution to your ramps. Because I find on angular surfaces minis tend to topple over more easily.
Looks great.
Another great build, lots of fun to watch. The stairs I think actually ended up looking better than the ramps too. Looking forward to seeing this featured in a let’s play or something, it definitely deserves some time in the limelight when finished.
Looks fantastic, given any thought to military markings and numbers all that kind of thing painted and weathered in selected places? On that thought what about some rebel markings? Perhaps some of the salvagers have spray painted a cross on one hatch to show that bit has been looted already or a warning not to cut through that panel.
Even something like a bit of graffiti, down with the empire etc
