Let’s Play: Mythos – Priory vs Wildborn
January 26, 2018 by dignity
The guys from Paranoid Miniatures are taking Justin on in a game of Mythos.
Mythos is based in 1920's Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Humanity is pitched against unspeakable terrors. Countless degenerates have turned their backs on their kin to serve dark Gods and joined insane cults that seek blood just for bloods sake.
In this game the guys will be playing the Portal Jockey scenario with Justin playing as the Priory faction who will compete against Dom's Wildborn faction.
Did you enjoy this Lovecraft inspired game?
What happened to this Let’s Play? I watched it last night and then it fell off the website!
Looked interesting. Was a game I almost backed on KS… but at the time I was backing too much stuff.
We wanted to update some of the visuals to bring them up to speed is all 🙂 Sorry for any confusion. Az
That did make me feel like I had lost some of my own sanity. I saw the ping from youtube or something on my phone saying a Mythos video had been posted, then I got home to try and find it on BoW and couldn’t find it anywhere. I was like “Did I imagine that notification? Am I going mad…”
Maybe it was just some very meta creativity from you guys 🙂
This game looks awesome! I like how yal zoomed in the models too. I wish I had backed the kickstarter, but I think yal have talked me into going and buying a few starter sets..
The good news is that if all is well you can hook some minis at Salute in London this year ^.^
Very true, Paranoid Miniatures are at Salute this year and also have a Shopify store on their Facebook page.
Look like another great skirmish game
Enjoyed that. A kick up the jacksy to get my Priory on the painting desk
Really enjoyed this “Let`s Play”, i like the way the game swings back and forth. I`ve had a look at factions for the game, and i like the look of the “Order of the Enlightened Path”.
Will be watching it again, as i`m sure i missed bit`s of it.
Great demo game.
Love the miniatures and the different distinct factions.
Scenarios being narrative is so much better than line up and fight. It makes for a more immersive game.
The detail on the cards is also a big bonus. Less thumbing through rule books makes for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
Very fun to watch, loved the live-combat mechanic, made it feel like combat was a risky proposition for all involved!
I do love skirmish games, nice to see another one, and I 100% agree with trying to get enough rules on the cards that you don’t need to be looking things up all the time.
Really enjoyed this – and really glad I backed the Kickstarter!
Would have been nice to have had a few more close ups of the models as they weren’t easy to see or appreciate, although the game itself was easy to follow.
