Yarr,
Muy bien
im already butchering names of troop types in my head, my main want is a pirate ship though
Definitely interested! This period is the same period where the Netherlands had their fight for independence with the Spanish, so historically this is a very interesting period for me 🙂
And I’m a sucker for historic 28mm models!
Spanish are interesting, alot rides on putting down fatigue. Would love to try them out.
same here ecclesiastes, i am from Holland and just love the period, also called the “golden centurie” here in The Netherlands, sadly it ended allready in 1672.
All the wealth of the New World and the Spanish Empire gets crippled by inflation from that same wealth, glad to see the history of the time reflected in rules like the poor equipment. Have to say, the Lanceros look like a fun unit, jumping out of the brush, lances at the ready!
I like the part of Michael Crichton’s Pirate Latitude when the english board a Spanish ship and state that they are way better sailors because the ship is in such a bad condition because the Spanish crew didn’t maintain it well enough. I was never sure if that was accurate, but thanks to the guys of Firelock games we learned now that the Spanish didn’t really care about their guys in the new wold as long as the wealth of the new world arrives in Spain. Dos cervezas muchas gracias
This is my faction. I love the natives. One thing I would like for them is to make a faction of Indios tainos. Those were the ones that existed in my native island of Puerto Rico and I would like to have them.
Looking really good.
Good survey. I need to see the other factions before deciding which will be mine
Great authentic feel to these models and meta without it feeling too burdened with history like can happen in other historic game systems. There’s enough differentiation between the units to make it interesting without housekeeping and lookup tables slowing things down. I’m getting a similar vibe to SAGA from this.
This is the one I backed on Kickstarter still painting them 🙁 must paint faster
I’d hate to face those lances in CC
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition but I still don’t understand why you didn’t start with some English or better yet Pirates
In previous pirate games we’ve played I’ve always ended up as the Spaniards. These look cool so I see no reason to alter that right now 🙂
Just bought the Spanish last night! Awesome models! Now I need to win the rules and another faction to get our Dakota gang involved…
The Spanish are Tilth
Not my faction of heart, but I quit like the lanceros !
Think I fancy the French to be honest.
Very excited about this Kickstarter, there are some exciting things being announced. I want a galleon…
Interesting faction but not sure if they are for me but grassyarse all the same.
very interesting faction and great minis….but I would realllllllyy love to see the pirates!!! yarrrrr
will any faction use slaves?? I think some could be slave traders and use them for a great front line
I like the melee aspect. I may grab them as a second faction or an opfor for the English.
