We hope you’ve enjoyed this vlog series, our next vlog wont be until Monday where we hopefully will have it completed. fingers crossed
The serie’s been great! Can’t wait to see the table finished :^D
The extended vlogs for this have been brilliant, @Lloyd is a terrain guru and @johnlyons work on the ships ( nearly typed boats ) and the 4Ground buildings is a joy to watch. Inspiration runs deep, but my flgc coffers need a refill after Salute, so it may be a little while before we have a go at something like this ourselves. I look forward to Monday 😀 .
The roofing is amazing, really changes the look. Like the idea of lights in the caves and buildings.
Roof tiles look great, but I think the top caps go on the other way around (flat along the bottom and the cutouts match between the 2 roof sides) and you should cut off the half tiles on each strip except where they are needed at the start of the row.
I was thinking the same thing about both the coping (bit along the top) and the half tiles.
The picture on the 4Ground site would agree with the coping being upside down – to be honest I think I’d rather have some coloured card that had a crease line down the middle to fold over to form coping.
Absolutely awesome guys, looking really cool. I really want to expand what ive done now to get a bigger effect.
Love those ships too, i missed out on the kickstarter last year and im definitely kicking myself now!
I’ve created roof tiles like these from cardboard packaging. The 4ground method does take a lot of the laborious cutting out of it.
Great work again!
@johnlyons did you consider leaving lower parts of the ship hull glossy? At one point in the video it looks like the lower parts are wet from waves and splashes. No idea if it works in real life, but on camera looks cool.
The thought had crossed my mind, but since the sea mat we are using is already matt, it would break immersion somewhat 🙂
great work on the tables and ships guys.
All looks great! However…
What about the rigging for the ships?
that was covered in an earlier VLOG. @turbocooler
The table is looking really good. Can’t wait to see it totally finished
Loving this series so far!
I still think with some added vegetation, and changing the buildings, this table could make for some great Pacific Theater Bolt Action/konflict 47
Really enjoying this series of vlogs @lloyd & @johnlyons, it’s looking great! I can’t wait to see your Flocking tips, as I’m not a very good flocker and I always feel disappointed afterwards when I look back at the result of my efforts.
PS: Fnarr, Fnarr!
I believe the lads paired up to perform a good flocking on camera yesterday.
We just have to clean up the mess a little and let lance pull it all together for Monday 😉
I’ll have to give this a go – herself might not be impressed 😉
Epic T-shirt!! 😀
I cant get the weekender to play?? The load battle report plays as does the weekender for YouTube? ?
