Organised Play At UK Games Expo 2019
April 8, 2019 by dignity
UK Games Expo is only a couple of months away so let's get the scoop from two of the organisers about the tournaments and casual play you can expect to see.
Taking place from the 31st of May to the 2nd of June, UKGE is the biggest tabletop gaming convention on the British calendar.
It will play host to many of the most popular games including the Grand Kotei for Legend of the Five Rings, UK Nationals for Catan, and a Carcassonne tournament that will award the winner £250 towards entering the world final at Essen Spiel!

No, no ticket for me… I wish I could some make it but money, time, money and work (also money) are issues…. the UK isn’t right around the corner… :S
One day , right ?
It’s one for the bucketlist, next to Spiel and the really big things like Adepticon.
Biggest challenge will be post show travel/luggage arrangements if I ever find the resources to go.
Spiel is actually a possibility for me since it’s within reasonable car travel distance. But still a huge time investment and the family will want to come too so organizing is a big PITA.
sounds a fun time good luck folks.
Let’s look at my calendar… hmm… work, work, work, work, work and more work with no time off for good behavior. Yep, six out of seven days for the foreseeable future as much as I would love to drop by and even see some other wonderful gaming fans.
I won’t be doing any organised play, just hurling money at possibly delighted, possibly terrified traders.
