We might have a Beta Weekend coming up but that doesn't mean we stop looking at our Community Spotlight picks with another delve into the Hobby & Painting Forum as we pick out some of our favourite projects.

With that in mind let's get stuck in and see what you've been up to.

Constantine by volleyfireandy

Something for Sam to kick things off. Volleyfireandy has done an awesome job on this version of Knight Model's Constantine. Take a look at the work here...

Constantine by volleyfireandy

This is a brilliant take on the character, painting him very much in the style of both his character from the TV show and with a tinge of the comic book about it too. I love the highlighting work and the amazing object source lighting that glows from both his hand and the flames flickering around it, and the runic circle sketched into the ground.

This is a very artistic take on the character and something which I think works very well for Constantine.

Colette Malifaux Crew by gorillawithabrush

Next up we're looking towards the maestro known as gorillawithabrush who recently finished off a Colette Crew for Malifaux.

Malifaux Colette Crew #1 by gorillawithabrush

The big thing that immediately stood out to me from these models was the way that the very bold colours have been presented here. I think they work very well, especially for the wild and wonderful world of Malifaux.

Malifaux Colette Crew #2 by gorillawithabrush

I think that you can one of two ways with Malifaux models. You either keep things in the grungy 'steampunk' style and give it a grittier look or you go with big bold block colours like this. I think the later works very well, especially from gorillawithabrush who is amazing at getting these colours just right.

And, here is the full crew in all of its glory with some nice basing which works well against the brighter coloured models.

If you'd like to see some more detail shots of this particular project you can leap onto his forum thread above and take a peek. I think these are superb!

Guild Ball Teams by m30wm1x

We then turn to a community member with possibly the coolest username out there. M30wm1x has been tinkering with Guild Ball which got him out of his hobby slump and has produced some amazing looking teams.

Guild Ball Teams #1 by m30wm1x

He has gone to the trouble of painting up a whole host of different teams like the Blacksmiths above and the Brewers here below as well. Each of them has been picked out with a great colour palette and he's done what you should always do; tie the whole team together with the same theme to make them seem cohesive on the tabletop.

Guild Ball Teams #2 by m30wm1x

If you're interested in more from him then make sure to follow the thread above where they are additional photos of his teams. Maybe it will inspire you to paint your own team!

Guild Ball Teams #3 by m30wm1x

I think of the three sets we've seen here I like his Brewer's the most. There's something about the way the tartan has been done and the colour choices that just works nicely. It shows you what can be achieved with a neat paint scheme which has good definition between the different parts of the model.
