Cool! Look forward to this ;).
I bought into this game along time ago, great miniatures line, great game, really easy to play. But since May last year the UK hasn’t had distribution support. So none of the 3rd wave products or rules came over this side of the pond. I know there is a loyal community behind this game that’s still active and I hope that bringing this game to BoW will help it grow; but sadly like promoting Dark Age another amazing miniatures line by CMON with out a UK distributor or support it won’t get the recognition it rightly deserves. I will watch… Read more »
If I remember correctly cmon has reasonable shipping costs…so you should be able to get everything directly from them.
You have to pay an additional 20% VAT on the full cost including postage, and an £8 handling fee, to import from outside the EU.
buying KDM from the states kills me with shipping and vat. if I buy a single resin sculpt i’m effectively paying double.
Standard Import rules still apply apparently…but lots of US based companys charge insane shipping prices on top of that…and CMON does not. And with something like a black friday sale its an all around great deal….just not for 1 or 2 pieces.
Great. I can buy them in November and if I’m lucky have them by January 2018 (speaking from experience here). The game needs distribution here if it’s going to have a chance of finding an audience.
@redben Oh boy…I kinda get the feeling you are trying to twist this on purpose. Of cause a Distribution would be better. And if you want to complain and generate a negativ vibe…thats your thing. I try to make the best out of the options I actually have and stay positiv…and that is combining orders with friends to minimize shipping costs…to use sales like black friday (as an example!) to offset additional costs like custom fees ect. …and yes…that is not optimal…and yes it is a bit more complicated…and yes I have to wait longer for new stuff…but I do… Read more »
I’m not trying to twist anything, @soulsorcerer. I do think you underplayed the costs of importing from the US and I don’t think it’s realistic to suggest only ordering at a specific time of year to offset that.
@redben Well…you did make my post into the complete opposite. I did not underplay Import costs…quite the contrary…the low shipping costs are importent because of the Import costs! Maybe I should have been more detailed with what I wanted to point at…so to correct that: 7 USD shipping from CMON is really low! An order of 2 Starter Forces and the Rulebook of WoK would be 160 Pounds from Element games in the UK…and 190 Pounds direct from CMON in the USA…including all additional Import costs (and the bad Exchange rate)!!! Without sales/savings taking into account on both sides. I… Read more »
I’ve heard of this. Looking forward to learning more about it.
This should be great. I’m really looking forward to see the BoW take on this, hopefully a demo game too?
The Miniatures are really sweet too, I picked up a couple of factions in the Kickstarter.
Sweet. CMON’s minis games are pretty cool.
I have been waiting to see this can’t wait to watch the coverage.
Yes. Can’t wait.
Now this tickles me fancy 😛
Wow … keeping up with the amount of stuff coming out of BoW is going to be a pleasant challenge this year 🙂
I like the way this game plays. Wish had better access to it.
themed week you say, excellent.
looking forward to seeing wrath of kings on the table.
A brilliant game and the miniatures are excellent.
I have a few of the armies and almost all the models are stunning. With the high quality the models are, I’m rather surprised that it’s some what affordable per model count.
Really looking forward to this one- I’d especially like to get my hands on the Rising Conflicts book, so fingers crossed!
I am looking forward to this. I have wanted to get into this game but needed more information to see if I would like it. I am concerned that it is rules heavy. Cannot wait to see this on the table and watch the videos.
As aside from the Mage Knight series. I am hoping we can have the introduction without the game scenery getting in the way. It was just too busy for Mage Knight. I would like to see them on a plain old mat with no buildings or one for reference for height for the introduction and then everything else for game play.
This way you can layout the rule book, cards, chits etc. required and see all that and then bring in the rest for a skirmish.
At least, that is what I hope you guys do this go around.
Looking forward to Shael Han!
Looking forward to this 🙂 More my ‘thing’ then last weeks 🙂
Oh wow these minis are amazing! I’ve heard of the game but never really looked into it, those new fox dudes are utterly wonderful. Very excited to see the rules in action and some of these models shown off.
Awesome and Hadross are the best 😉
pfft Goritsi for the win
can’t wait, even has me finally starting to paint my kickstarter miniatures…lol!
This is a game that I really like!!!
The style looks very unique!
My Wee brother bought the entire wrath o kings range from the kickstarter in 2016. I have just bought two factions off him after one play through of this game ( fast, fun and awsome sculpts). Looking forward to playing more in 2017 and seeing this game reach a wider uk audience within the wargames community.
A uk distributer is a must though, ive new minis to purchase it seems.
think it was 2015 bro lol
