Meet Knight Models’ Boy Wonder Taking On Gotham!
March 6, 2013 by brennon
Knight Models are continuing the DC fun with a trio of new releases on their website. One in particular is a perfect partner for the Dark Knight. Check out Robin, ready for a scrap, below...
Once again he is modeled after his appearance in Arkham City and gone are the green hot pants (yay!). I do like this miniature and it gives a new life to one of the most joked about sidekicks in comics.
As well as Robin they also added Green Arrow and Deathstroke (they list him as Deadstroke on the site) to their list of models for DC Comics. Now, these wouldn't have been that interesting as just sculptures but the little tag in the corner saying 'Miniature Game' does make me a little giddy!
Could we be seeing a lot more heroes from the DC universe coming to aid Batman in Gotham?
Is Superman going to be a little overpowered?
Only time will tell!

I am loving that Green Arrow! Great sculpt and paint job.
These are very nice figures. I do wish I could see them in person, but I don’t know of anywhere locally that carries them.
these models are amazing, loving the whole range from knight models. Has anyone tried the system out yet?
shame Damian has just kicked the bucket!
The Robin is based on Arkham City’s Robin its actually Tim Drake not Damian Wayne.
‘ most joked about sidekicks in comics.’
this is quite a false statement , name me another sidekick in comics , the name Robin is synomionous with Batman , unless your ‘joking’ about the burt ward portrayal , RObin has been nad has become as much a part of DC legend as Batman.
I’ve had the pleasure of working on a Harley Quinn model, and i can vouch for the quality of teh sculpts…
I prefer Nightwing to the new boy wonder here, but he’s quite nice indeed…
And oh my, that Ollie, I think I might faint !
Have you ever seen any of the game of thrones minis what do you think?
I have, and they’re really good indeed, but they’re not from Knight Models.. They’re from Darksword.
Green Arrow probably is the best of that batch of models.
Romaine, how does the scale of the figures stack up to other superhero lines like Pulp City or Heroclix? Are they comparable, larger, smaller? I’m not a strict adherent to scale, (within reason) but if they’re closer to the 35mm mark like I’ve heard…they simply might be too large for me to use in my gaming.
It’s Romain, and the figures are about as tall as a regular GW figure… Much finer, of course.
I think it makes them about 30mm scale.
Do ask Justin, @Dignity, as he’s got the model I worked on.
In any case, I think further use in gaming is somewhat limited outside of the original purpose…
I seen some of the Knight Models and yes they look nice and the price tends to match it.
I own Doctor Doom…
Worth every penny !
Wow that green arrow is cool. A nice skirmish superhero game would be awesome.
The Non-Batman related characters I’d want, and not too powerful for the game, are the Question, Karate Kid, The Demon Etrigan, Owlman, Hawkman, Katana, and John Constantine.
Yes… Strangely enough (for such a simple figure) there isn’t a single trench-coated Constantine out there that I know of !
I just downloaded the rules from their website.
Seeing the line expand is very interesting and I’d be all over the Question (Vic) and I suspect Green Arrow will get my girl’s attention since she’s digging on the TV show. I’m not sure about Karate Kid since I’m really only familiar with the one that flies through the cosmos with the Legion of Super Heroes. But there’s a huge cast of “street level” villains out there to choose from, especially when you add in other heroes outside of Batman’s usual suspects.
The models just keep looking better and better each time, cant wait to start this game and get thoughs pretty pretty models 😀 x
