That was excellent. Not only the light touch applied to the splendid Lion Rampant, but some insights into Dan’s thinking process. I loved hearing early medieval combat not needing the trigonometry of DBA (not a dig, just a brilliant observation). Between Mr Mersey and Mr McCullough the future’s bright and roll on Xenos Rampant!

Dr Travlos who is a history Professor in Turkey has done some similar to Dan with his supplements for Bloody Big Battles and the Ottoman Army of the early 20th Century and especially the Balkan Wars

We’ve been playing Age of Penda a lot recently. The Battleboard is inspired.
AoP is really fascinating, I love the grand tactical feel of it. I’m painting Gaels and Norse to play on 6×4 at the moment. The battle board is so much fun
Looking forward seeing Xenos Rampant. There are a lot of 40k minis sat in my loft itching to get out.
