February 1, 2019 by dignity
Justin and Gerry have a go at 4Ground's 10mm historical mass battle game which is currently development - World War Zero.
Set during the French and Indian War, the guys will be playing out the Battle of Monongahela which involved General Braddock's British forces encountering French troops assisted by local Native Americans.
If you missed it be sure you watch our Round Breakdown to see how the mechanics of the game work and our chat video with the 4Ground guys to hear about the historical setting in which the game is based.
What do you think of World War Zero so far?

half expecting huron warriors to come steaming out of the trees like in the tLotM film.
It’s an intriguing system, I just hope that the rules expand to cover other periods, such as the American War of Independence, the Napoleonic’s and the American Civil War
there’s no reason why it can’t it will be interesting to see where it goes in the long term
Great game guys.
I’ll defiantly have to pick this up when it comes out
cheers, this was done a day before a games night at the club here. The games played there and the questions and things raised actually changed the rules a little. There is another play through coming with the slightly altered rules. But I am a fan of how it plays
From a first view the rules seem to be caught in between a largish divisional type game and a more micro managed battalion level game with what seems like an over abundance of special rules.
I’d like to see them used for a bigger battle though to get a better feel for the C&C
Not overly sure about the freewheeling artillery movement either
I had three ancestors that were at the battle.
