Congratulations some one found a use for a D4.
This is a game into which I Can munch.
they also work as caltrops
No, they’re trying to separate me from my wallet again because Moonstone is too beautiful!
Lol that was a fab looking fun game guys.
I watched this last night after drinking several beers. A very enjoyable game to watch that have me laughing each time Gerry and Warren tried to bluff each other. Great stuff.
I like the look of this. Playing with other people in the same room and no masks could be the way of the future. The game looks ok too.
it’ll never catch on thankfully the government are doing their best to get everyone back into masks as quickly as possible
It’s just that they’re terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing them in the future.
I like that no one can see me chewing and therefore they can’t ask for any gum
You can keep some gum or some sweets in the mask for later and then they can’t even see you get them from your pocket.
horses have been ahead of us for years clever gits
Was this an older pre-COVID video?
That table is a thing of beauty! What a joy to be able to play on!
nope, this is a so recent it’s barely had time to be edited, it also helps we’re all old and jabbed up. It’s like the before times 🙂
Also if you think this table is good, wait until you see the full let’s play on Tuesday
Wow! I’m so used to how things have been during The Event that seeing something from The Before Times but which is actually The After is just messing with my mind!
I really enjoyed that! The ‘poker’ faces on Warren and Gerry were hilarious. Very fun mechanics, just my cup of tea.
The buy-in for the two-player starter is £215 ($305 USD) which seems steep for a game that will have a niche audience. Also, the miniatures are required from them as you cannot proxy a figure because you need the cards. So, to expand from the starter to a full Warband will require at least another $150 not including what you will spend on terrain. Wargaming is a niche hobby and this will be even more niche which means expensive. Finding others who will want to play and spend the necessary money right now with so many miniature agnostic indy games… Read more »
Have you visited the website, what you say is a little misleading, the starter box set is £65, expansions to the warbands £24. It is true, the figures are so nice, you want to collect them all and as they are resin, it can all add up and get expensive if you buy everything…. However, on the website you can download all the figures, figure cards, playing cards and even the rules for free!! Just print and play – try before you buy – they even have it on tabletop simulator – running intro games. It is a great game… Read more »
he’s in australia so conversion and postage drives it through the roof, it’s the same as someone in the UK looking at Twisted or Bot War direct from the companies, it costs a lot more to get them from literally half a world away
I have to say I would play this in an instance before any of the indie games you mentioned and many that you didn’t. Unfortunately you are far away and suffering under the import prices so that’s understandable. As far as pacing goes, you only have 6 figures max so it plays out as quickly as all of the aforementioned games as you’re not dealing with dozens of models, which makes sense in a proper skirmish game
That looks like a lot of fun and the board looked great too. I see they have a table top simulator mod thing for this so I will be giving that a go and looking at the kickstarter once it starts
I’m pleasantly surprised by this game (I don’t know why I was expecting less…). The combat system is brilliant, as are the D4s as objective markers! That, together with the quirky setting, make for a sublime first impression. The beautiful terrain does help as well. Wow. Just wow.
