Let’s Play Joan Of Arc – Saint Michael VS The Dragon
October 5, 2019 by dignity
Leo from Mythic Games joins Gerry and Justin in the studio to run through another scenario from Time Of Legends: Joan Of Arc.
Back Joan of Arc 1.5
In a clash of titans, Saint Michael and his angelic force are trying to protect a church and its priest from a rampaging dragon. As the dragon, Gerry is spoilt for choice in attacking either the peasants, the church or the holy alliance of angels. Justin must combine his forces to do enough damage to slay the dragon. Will light prevail or will Gerry burninate the whole village?
Which army would you like to take control of in this scenario?
It would have been interesting to know what would have been different in the 1.0 version of this battle, especially given the recent dicussions. Was it noted in this video? I might have missed it.
Yeah, would be good if they highlighted all the differences in these playthroughs.
It’s possible no one knows what they are
Of course they do, OTT and Mythic know as they have playd both scenarios.
No idea what version 1 was like.
It may be out there in the interwebz mind you
Surely Leo knows though, no?
It’s possible. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
Well I haven’t played this scenario yet and haven’t read all the rules (got the game just recently via ebay) but it seems the old scenario only had 2 randomly drawn sky hexes.
The Holy player didn’t have the two sword units and the unholy player only had one victory condition for which the dragon had to destroy the church and kill Michael.
Also the Terror rules were changend and the Bombard got a inbuilt shield.
That is as far as I noticed.
So were the sword units optional? I had the impression that some of the units were chosen by the player.
@totsuzenheni
There were no sword units on the holy side in the old scenario. It was just Michael and his 2 angel buddies, the priest, the bombard, 2 crossbowman and 4 peasants.

Appreciated, but that’s not quite what i meant. I meant what specific rules and stats have changed in this scenario from 1.0 to 1.5? It would be interesting to know how substantial and significant they are.
43 mins and 57 secs – this is OTTs greatest ever moment and needs to be immortalised as a GIF.
Why what happened?
Apparently some big hairy bloke was doing Miley Cyrus impressions
Which we can now never un-see…
a great fun looking game.

@avernos “The Devil hasn’t written a book” have you not read 40K 8th?
“Cool so you can’t see my unit so no charges”
“Oh no I can charge”
“Oh ok I’ll just do my overwatch”
“Oh no you don’t get any overwatch”
Surely that entire book is naught but the work of the devil.
LMAO
Just Pledged, but I do agree it would have been nice to see a clearer breakdown of differences.
this is such a top notch game. really enjoy this lets play series on this game. Currently reading a novel here by micheal scott that does a interesting play on joan of arc as well in his series. I Really enjoy the god aspect thrown into the game with the iconic angels. Top notch game mythic! Hope to play or get my hands on it someday.
I was going to back this but after seeing how small those tiles are, I’ll pass for now. I hope one day they will make them all bigger (Not just the core set) so it’s not so confined when moving things around. Other than that, I really like what I’m seeing with this game. Fantastic!
