Let’s Play: Conquest – Dweghom vs Spire
June 6, 2019 by dignity
Justin is joined by two of the guys from Para Bellum Wargames to play the latest Dweghom faction in miniature wargame Conquest.
This race of Dragon-forged craftsmen command imposing machinery-enhanced drakes on the battlefield and set their enemies ablaze.
What do you think of the Dweghom?
some great figures in this game.
Was looking at the E shop on the website €42 for three cavalry is a bit wow
Substantially cheaper at some online retailers like Miniature Market.
also they are in the 2 player starter set (minus a command sprue) which is priced at under £/$2 a mini
Cannot wait for other factions, especially Nords and City States (I want some ”this is Sparta!!!” moments).
I’m completely sold by this game. I love the amount of work they’ve already put into the game and mechanics.
The minis are awesome, I was originally put of by the larger scale as I didnt think I could use them in other systems. To be honest after seeing the system played through I don’t mind so much as I can see myself playing their systen alot.
I’m really looking forward to the release, definitely one I’ll be going for ?
What I would REALLY appreciate is better close cam (360) or at least pictures of the models. I want to see great minis…and more so great painted minis…and even more so great painted minis on great scenic bases!!! The Drake at around 10:00 is way to blurry to look at. This is not satisfying at all! Why is the most impotent part of miniature games still so underrepresented in those videos??? Makes me sad!
Otherwise…great stuff! 🙂
UK pre orders are up… I can get the 2 player set for £60 :O
Box sets £25 and the abomination sized stuff £38.
This is amazing

The scale makes minis looks so impressive but I do wander how much play I could get out of the core set
Great game, my best painted minis die faster than usual.
The game looks great and fast paced.
I wonder if there are any games that start rank and flank, but once the lines engage you can chose to break that and go skirmish to change the way they operate? Perhaps some units are forced to break once morale drops low enough, or some are so professional they won’t break ranks? I wonder if this would work, serve an in game purpose, and be fun?
Basically replicating the Hollywood style battle? It would look interesting but, in real-world terms, any ranked formation that split apart like that would lose the fight fast. I think some of the skirmish games out there which allow for ranked fighting do this, like Tomahawk and Musket.
