Knight Models Unveil Lady Shiva, DC’s Most Dangerous Martial Artist
May 5, 2015 by dracs
The DC Universe is home to many formidable martial artists, the deadliest of which Knight Models will soon be bringing into the Batman Miniatures Game. Do you have the skills to survive the deadly Lady Shiva?
Lady Shiva is an assassin for hire who specialises in killing her enemies with her bare hands. Not many of DC's heroes are able to stand against her and all, from The Question to Batman himself, respect her skills. In fact, after his back was broken, it was Shiva Batman went to in order to regain his fighting skills.
Knight Models have recreated Lady Shiva as she appeared in Batman Arkham Origins. Her pose keeps with her practice of beating her enemies with her hands rather than relying on weaponry and the model show her competence and strength. She will be a valuable ally in the Batman Miniatures Game.
League Allies
As well as Lady Shiva herself there are some additional League Agents that are coming to help her sow terror among her enemies she makes in Gotham.
These agents are loyal to Lady Shiva and the League of Shadows, using stealth and superb fighting skills to be formidable, even in a world where guns are readily available. Together with the Agents, Lady Shiva will be able to cut a swathe of destruction through Gotham.
Are you a fan of Lady Shiva? What DC character do you want Knight Models to make? (Come on John Constantine or Phantom Stranger)

She is one Shiva that you don’t want to betray. She and others look impressive.
Interesting.. Not for me but definitely a great addition to BMG
I’m so happy to see this box. Exactly what i wish for.
Suddenly glad I don’t have the first league set yet, I want to pick up Arkham City East and Talia so this might be a better starting point for me. It helps that they look cool.
Well damn. After getting my butt handed to me in a BMG demo game last month where a Joker crew wiped the floor with the League of Shadows gang I was using, I swore that if I did get into this game I wouldn’t be trying the melee thing again.
I really like all four of these models, however. So.. damn. Rule of cool, I guess I’ll be picking these up, even if I do suck at their play style!
League of Shadows is a difficult faction to handle but very powerfull once you pass through the learning curve.
I found I was being thwarted by the ability of a gun toting model to effectively move (into LoS), shoot and then move (out of LoS). The only time my League guys had LoS at the start of their turn was when the opponent was quite far away, requiring me to put a lot into movement and leaving me with ~2 points of willpower for the (ineffectual) melee attack or to add to my defence. Then another goon would wander over at the cost of only 1 willpower, knock my League model over and then my poor ninja is eating… Read more »
well, it’s difficult to advise you without knowing the specifics of the situation you have encountered. I can only encourage you to pursue. It will eventually pay off. 🙂
The Spectre!!?
I might be the only one but I’m currently loving The Flash TV show. I know there’s a Flash model by Knight but is Flash a usable character? If he is, I’m all in with this game.
I’ll be definitely all in if they produce me a Gorilla Grodd!!
The actual Flash model is not playable but I think that the game designer would like to make one for BMG. He asked the community about it but the community didn’t respond very well. I’m not a big fan of the idea either.
Don’t get me wrong, the TV show is awesome but the level of super power is probably too high for a street level game like BMG. Game designer said that he has some idea to make it works so maybe we will see a playable Flash (in its TV incarnation) soon. Stay tuned.
Super Speed is always really powerful in every super-hero RPG or miniatures game that I’ve played so I’m not surprised that the community is reluctant to see it added to the game through the Flash.. but hey, they might be able to pull off something that is representative of the power without being a..er..realistic implementation of the power.
I would defenetly love to see not only The Flash being added to game but also possibly Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Lantern.
Only if it’s the Brave and the Bold version of Aquaman. He was *awesome*
I think they would have a hard time representing characters like Superman ‘convincingly’ without them being hugely powerful. The alternative is to nerf them down to a manageable level but then they will probably feel underwhelming and get taken out by a couple of common street thugs if you roll badly.
Of the lot, I can see TV Flash being more viable as his speed/healing is all he really has going for him, no super strength etc. If they use his limited stamina thing as a mechanical weakness it might work. That or his youthful inexperience maybe.
not a fan.
I’m really looking forward to adding these figures to my League. In the games I’ve played using the League I’ve done very well with them. They do seem to require some finesse and a solid bit of luck to survive against guns. The number of options opened up with this pack however makes me a very happy BMG player. They’ll be on my next order for sure.
