Guild Ball Week: Kick Off! Demo Game
April 24, 2017 by dignity
If you have the Guild Ball Kick Off! Starter Set you'll have read the Kick Off! Rulebook and played through the first turn of the game covered within its pages.
For this demo game, we take it from the second turn with the Mason Guild having the advantage over the Brewers by having scored during turn one.
Watch Guild Ball Week
Bryce from Steamforged Games has control over the Masons hoping to build on that early advantage while Justin playing the Brewers is hoping to reduce that deficit. Can he do it?
Prizes To Be Won
During this week you could win One of Three Copies of the Guild Ball Kick Off! Starter Set as seen in this Demo Game.
All you’re going to need to do is comment on the videos this week across Facebook, YouTube and Beasts Of War to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize.

I like the rules, i like the miniatures, i want to play that game.
Do it you won’t regret it.
Guild Ball is an awesome game, glad you’re doing this week
Have the Hunters and the Brewers here. Next Team will be Fisherman or Butcher
I like the game so far. I wish you guys would produce more products in plastic though. These appear high quality so why not product sets in the same material.
All new teams will be in plastic, with tokens and themed scenery piece. Early minis were metal as the company launched off kick starter 3 years ago. Farmers are the first of these out soon ..
I think the releases from season 3 onwards will be plastic, such as the upcoming Farmers Guild.
Come on the Brewers!
Very glad to see this game get more publicity.
this game just looks so much fun, the minis are awesome 🙂
Thanks for the game guys, this was fun.
My friend and i played our first game on sunday using the Kick Off box and i can say its a fantastic product (more plastic in the future please 😉 ). I played the masons and i love them.
The game is awesome and i looking the get my own team (well, probably more than one knowing myself…).
See you tomorow!
This game is tons of fun, and it’s surprisingly easy to pick up the rules. Best thing, you can download a free intro game, complete with paper cutout players and ball marker. So you really have nothing to lose just trying it out.
I’m really happy to see a big variety of smaller minis games coming out these days. From skirmish-size combat games to fun “sports” themed games like this and Dreadball, it’s getting easier and easier on my wallet to play a variety of games.
I love the look of this game, definately beats bloodbowl for the fatasy sports game I need to get. As much as I don’t think the brewers or the masons are my favourite looking guilds they definately seem the best choice for the one in the starter set.
Awesome
Nice one. I’ve seen a few playthroughs but this one’s a good deal clearer.
Loved this game the first time I saw it.
If you guys are going to get another game in this week, please do the morticians Vs the hunters, both are awesome looking guilds and I would love to see how they play on the table. Also why not try and get @warzan in to play another battle report as it seems a while since we go to see him gaming, hope he’s doing well.
Unlikely as they prefer recorded the stuff.
Poor Justin 🙁
I love this game so much :)! …
Cool looking game, but a bit chaotic if you’re not familiar with the rules.
A more in-depth look at the mechanics and special rules would be nice.
And totally off topic, but I have to ask: What is that accent Bryce is speaking that makes every sharp ‘i’ sound like an ‘è’? I’ve never heard it before and it’s kind of short-circuiting my brain.
to some degree it reminds me malifaux, with synergee between models, building complex momentum to hit harder. not simple quick game that you can play in evening and leave it for half year to come back again.
The more you play the more the game unlocks, and the more you can do, but the core rules are fairly simple.
Its interesting that the tutorial game starts with one side up a goal.
The booklet walks through to that point, so you learn the rules playing as it were.
My preferred game, tonnes of fun, encourages cool plays, massively tactical and a tonne of depth.
Damn it … you made me want to own this too.
I like how he couldn’t just end the game right then and there, but it does make me wonder how awful it must feel to not generate the momentum required to score a goal in such a situation.
This looks like it will be. A blast to play.
This looks like fun in a box.
Amazing box. I love those miniatures.
such a fun game
