Suffering from ‘premature dissemination’ can be treated…
It may be the new resin … or if we’re unlucky the new finecast.
I don’t care what material it is, because if it requires superglue then it might as well be metal.
From seeing it in action it seems pretty fascinating. With a lot of companies snapping it up I could see it being worth a punt.
That was a busy week.
Oh look, a wild weekender appears!
Good evening all. Love the show. Love the dragons… fear the price! I enjoyed the UK Games Expo coverage, especially @brennon interviewing the legend that is Ian Livingstone… so much so that it inspired me to ferret around my loose miniatures in my pile of shame and locate, paint and mount up the Citadel Miniatures figure of the great man and pop him on my project blog here on BOW/OTT
Great stuff – glad you enjoyed the coverage.
The last UK EXPO I was add (2019?) I chatted with Ian and was telling him how much I loved the Fighting Fantasy books, and that my favourite was Book 2 – Citadel of Chaos – couldn’t stop telling him how great it was.
20 mins later as I am wandering around it dawned on me – Steve Jackson wrote that one.
Bless Ian he was so polite about it all, but I bet inside he was thinking “What a d!ck”.
Oooooh ahhhhhhh
Free french and french resistance bolt action army in the future I think…….
Just means more vehicles to find, skytex maybe.
i would love to play with tanks….. and build all new terrain;o)
Yay Weekender is apo us.
If Ben wants to learn about the Haitian revolution, then the book to go for is The Black Jacobins, by C L R James. The Haitian leader, Toussaint L’Ouverture, is one of the most interesting people of the Napoleonic period.
I’m tempted by the Price of Crowns Kickstarter. The first Napoleonics I ever painted were 15mm Württembergers, so doing a Sharp Practice force of these would be fun.
It’s the Weekend!
A delayed start to the weekend thanks to some fool (me) deciding that as someone (me) had been stuck in the house for the last week that he’d happily drive his other half to IKEA this evening. Someone (me) is regretting that decision!
Skytrex has-been my go-to 15mm WW2 source for odd vehicles for many years, like German command cars and one-off observer vehicles.
INDIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOFTHEWEEK!
Sorry everyone
i think theirs three main plastics on motorbike fairings any way as i was shown a plastic welder at the collage i did my HNC at a you had to find what plastic was used to weld the damage or you’d make it worse @avernos.
Those Wargames Atlantic French boxes are a pretty good deal I hadn’t realised they have sprues so you could make troops suitable for WWII as well. Hopefully they will do something similar in the future with some Tommies
Ooh inter war Tommies. That could prove costly
Some early war BEF would also be nice, It’s a period sadly lacking suitable figures.
Yeah. I’m not aware of any plastic BEF. For inter-war (specifically VSCW) I want the option not to have so much gear. I don’t know when BEF stopped carrying gas masks but for my needs the domestic British army wouldn’t bother carrying such gear to take on some unruly socialists from the north west of England.
A great show guys.
It’s the Weekender!
Dragons seem to be the theme.
Drrrrragons!
Happy weekend time. Nice to see Brother Lloyd and Justin back, four is a good number. I wonder if having Free and Warren in as well would be too much, six people on screen at once? It would probably mean a 3 hour episode, ha. That Stalker: Defiance´s shuttle looks very very nice. Might have to get me one of those for Stargrave. Lords of Valor looks like great fun, but far too much stuff on right now. I’m excited for the possibilities of that new Siocast. Let’s hope it won’t have floppy bending issues like some of the thinner… Read more »
Once more GW makes models I know I should love but there’s something about them that just doesn’t click with me and I can’t work out why. This happens a lot for me.
> Dragonbond: Lords Of Vaala by Draco Studios – Explore a fantastic new dragon-based board game!
Too much KS and Covid = too many miniatures to paint and no opportunities to play them. ):
Ha, that Herohammer look brings back memories… Nice!
Great show, thanks. See you tomorrow.
15mm stuff does look really detailed.
I just don’t know if I could do it justice though!
Really enjoyed the UKGE coverage folks. Welcome to the weekend!
