Hands down, one of the best series anywhere on the internet. Thanks guys.
Hands down, thumbs up.
It is the hay day of the series …
Hay ho! Let’s go.
😉
“It is the hay day of the series …” – oh my lol
A suggestion for very modern/ future versions, stick a band of electrical tape around the bales , only remember to superglue the ends down as it tends to shrink after a couple days and come unstuck.
Also with the square bales cheat like buggery, do a bunch of them on 2 or 3 sides and glue them together into a big pile with the unhayed bits inside.
Also, for older abandoned bales hit them with a blast of moss green weathering spray to put a moldy tint on them.
Heatshrink or amalgamating tape doesn’t shrink though 🙂
great vid, black gaffer/duct tape would be good for the covered bales.
pro tip use baking powder to instantly cure your superglue, it can also be filed, carved or drilled
great hobby lab all over, and I’ve been sitting with a tub of off cuts from my mats waiting to do something similar, now I have the inspiration to actually do it.
I saw the video yesterday. I am getting ready to make some haystacks till the end of the month.
Coir mat – Check
Das Clay – Check
Sand Paint – Check
Superglue – Check
Bottle Caps – Best get drinking a lot of pop..
Gonna make some of these this weekend for BA. Awesome stuff.
Have you tried upholstery spray adhesive? Great at getting odd shaped things quite sticky..
Nice tutorial. I finally have a distinct purpose for my saved bottle caps. 🙂
Also good to hear the sound levels for these videos have been balanced.
Great tutorial! I’m going to make some hay stacks for my SAGA games!
Hobby lab is fantastic!
Looks great. Going to port this over to a Burrows and Badgers project for sure. Thanks for the tips.
