Guardians Of The Galaxy Trailer Blows Up The Internet
February 19, 2014 by brennon
Firstly I should admit that before they announced this last year I had very little idea who the Guardians of the Galaxy were. But, it's been fun delving into a little of the back story behind these folks and the trailer for the new movie blew up the internet last night.
It's all looking very cool and although this is the first trailer I think I'm going to enjoy this one. It sounds like they've managed to keep the neat level of comedy and action once again.
This also comes on the back of news that we should be seeing a mass of other Marvel films over the coming couple of years which includes Ant Man, Doctor Strange, another Hulk film and a continuation of the Thor franchise which has already been hinted at by Chris Hemsworth.
Will you be watching Guardians?
Okay.. yeah, that looks pretty freaking awesome!
…damn I’ve become such a Marvel fanboy since the first Iron Man movie lol
Can’t say I was clamouring for a GotG movie but the trailer is very promising. I can’t be the only person waiting for the greenlight on a fourth-wall busting Deadpool movie.
..although come to think of it, John Crichton wants his jacket(s) back! 😀
Yeah I’m afraid I am still not sold on this
I agree dracs the film will have to do a lot of introduction to get the viewers who don’t know these characters in to the spirit of the film. Unless they do a cuddly toy of the fox-Raccoon thing.
Maybe Disney could release the film of the cartoon – Raccoons.

I have read these guys a couple of times before. I am just not entirely sure they will be able to carry over into mainstream film well.
I didn’t know anything about the guardians of the galaxy except their name before watching that trailer, but I’ve gotta say it looks like a pretty enjoyable movie! Ridiculous and crazy, but in the best kind of way… 🙂
Marvel does Serenity! This will be great I guarantee.
It is about time Rocket Raccoon got some screen time.
Nah… not a patch on Howard The Duck 🙂
Never heard of it before. As it is Marvel I will see it. Their movies have been very enjoyable to date.
I will watch it and make my own judgement – if nothing else it will allow me to relax and forget about whatever is bothering me. Comfort cinema, like comfort eating.
What if the film turns out to deal with precisely the kinds of problems which are bothering you! #noplacetohide! lol
Video games. Video games are the answer!
I really like this new direction for Marvel. It would have been really easy for Marvel to just churn out more of the same, but instead they are now expanding into the wider universe.
Personally I’m a bit excited. I haven’t read a Marvel comic in years but read them a lot as a kid. I always enjoyed the ones set in space far more than the terrestrial heroes. If only Marvel would make a film of Adam Warlock’s battle against the Magus, I’d be in 70s nostalgia heaven.
The trailer certainly looks very enjoyable. I hadn’t heard of them before this. I just hope they haven’t already showed us all the best bits!
Good to see the Collector in there from the end credits scene of Thor 2.
There will also be lots of 90s/80s references in the movie as that was the last time Peter Quill (Star Lord) was on earth. Hence the music to Ally Mcbeal for those old enough covering the trailer. 🙂
I have no idea what this is, but it looks watchable…
Am I right to have a memory if Rocket Racoon being the back up comuc in the UK Zoids comics or maybe The Transformers?
Very good CGI. Let’s hope the have an actual story worth telling this time.
Never read a single comic of them but like many people today who cares! This will be a fun watch and pull more outsiders into the comic world. As I recall many comic books where of low readership until the movie comes out. Hellboy for example.
I don’t doubt the Hellboy movies had an effect on sales, but Hellboy was a very successful comic book to begin with. Unfortunately for Marvel and DC, no matter how successful film adaptations of their characters are they have no impact on comic book sales. which have been steady decline since the 1980s. It’s one of the great ironies that superheroes have never been more high profile, whilst sales of superhero comic books have never been lower.
Hoo-ga-chaka, hoo-ga, hoo-ga, hoo-ga-chaka
aahaa aaaha I’m hooked on a feeeeeling….
(trumpets!)
I’m high on beliiiving…
this looks cool, might watch it.
as a geek (sadly more of a DC fan then a Marvel fan but nobody is perfect) I look forward to seeing Rocket Raccoon, Starlord, Gamora and the rest of them on the big screen
