i know what i using that for now
Holy Shakin’ Stevens Batman
“movers and shakers” that’s MS Paints line” XD
still don’t know who he is
Will it Blend?
Or
Yes, but does it work with coffee (and have you tried blending cake)?
I can see how a mixer would be useful for when I’m older and my shaking ability is far gone but for now it’s plenty of elbow grease and swearing.
I guess I’ll be watching this video again in a few years then.
get a test tube shaker then the swearing and arm ache is gone in about ten seconds, thats what i have….
Hmm, I’ll look into that.
@avernos ive a proper test tube mixer/shaker sourced from fleabay from a defunct lab and its brilliant. Noisy yes but it shakes the paint and mixes it like billy O.
This is my second of the same item in my 30+ hobby years so ive no complaints and would highly recommend. befriend your local lab technician.
on a side note to that for those with a dremmel befriend your dentist they have to periodically change completely their drilling attachents normally to the bin. however for the hobbiest they still have many years of life to give.
Is your test tube shaker the machine that has a rack that moves side to side rather than vortexing? If it is do you have the bottles upright or on their sides?
That was a handy video thank you
hey Gerry great idea, if its ikea mage uou can pull out wire and ht glue longer rod replacement
yeah you can pull it out but I don’t have a thick enough replacement for it
I bought the badger one a long while ago and because of the way it is curved at the end found that it still doesn’t get to all of the pigment in the bottom of the pot. Also as I now use predominantly Vallejo paints it doesn’t fit. The rod mixers also can be very messy and waste paint but your homebrew solution seems to reduce that (at the expense of a few bubbles).
I’ll stick with the mark one shaker until the arthritis gets worse ?
I have a scientific vortex mixer. It is definitely more powerful and I’m only using it on half speed. I usually only have it on for a few seconds angling the bottle then upside down. I still give the bottle a couple of shakes though. It does shift the Matt medium off the bottom of larger bottles, but again I’ll give the bottle a few light shakes afterwards. Only worth the upgrade if you have a physical ailment, but your hand will be vibrating so not sure how good that would be in the long run. I’ve fancied trying to… Read more »
