Topic suggestion: How do I maximise my buying power without increasing my hobby budget?
sounds like one for Warrens pop show.
or maybe the weekender/xlbs?
Name a hobby problem – Procrastination
Thank you. Did you consider trying the static field from underneath the base rather than above? It’d steal less and should still make as much vertical, assuming the surface doesn’t block the field. Sadly this has not convinced me that static grass is worth using when I have tufts. Even with the standy uppy bits, it still all jst looks like it was poured on rather than its grown there. At least you’ve reinforced my opinion so I don’t feel like I’m doing myself a diservice not using it. I should probably experiment myself at some point, given I have… Read more »
What if you want to put a lot down in a terrain board.
at that point I think the shop bought static generator is your best bet
So rubbing your rod gives you the best resu!ts and a satisfying job at the end, a great informative video @avernos.
Grand will give the pipe trick a try. I know Baccus 6mm stock a applicator called the Uff-puff which is a relatively cheap bit of kit a £1.63 that I was meaning to try. I also saw a great YouTube video on using green tea leaves to apply as forest undergrowth so will be adding that to the mix for my Arcworlde minis now I have hobby time to look forward to.
I think that Uff Puff thing is going to be similar to the Noch one, can’t say I’m impressed.
I have the Uff puff but have yet to figure out how it works S it didn’t come with instructions. @avernos you didn’t show how much you tossed the Noch prior to ejaculation of the grass.
shook it for maybe a minute, I’ve seen it work better with shorter flock but like I say I’m not overly impressed with it
Thanks guys if your finding it’s not worth the purchase I will leave it be and try the pipe I appreciate the input and advice ?
Live for members only. Watch Gerry Polish his large, hard pipe on camera
Would it be possible please to have a video on how to fill or cover base slots. I could just get myself some new bases but was thinking I could use what I have to hand and it’s something I haven’t yet attempted ?
A real treat for any serious hobbyist, we get to see not only Gerry Polishing his Rod, but touching cloth!
@avernos @dignity I wonder if my Antique Electric Shock Machine might work?
A nylon rod should work better than the pvc pipe. Cheap on ebay. Don’t hold your charged rod near anything flamable.
I’ve been thinking about whether a balloon would do the job. I don’t use static grass much, so do not think the expense of s proper tool is worth it. So, good video, thanks
