Leather by chérie can-can…
…I’ll see myself out…
Ooh is that the phantom raspberry blower? figure Gerry the leather affect looks great.
of old london town
Lol.
…”idiots guide to worn leather” you say?
Idiot is sitting comfortably. Please continue.
Alright, I am digging through the Unpainted boxes to find some old leather. So have to try this method. Be great on old motorcycle or flight jackets, really wear down the elbows and creases.
What can I say? I’m a man who likes his leather.
one thing I didn’t show off, which I should have, was the tones. Using the buff coloured soft tone and vary the overall colour of the leather with less or more of the sepia ink to get light or very dark leather. The more time spent on the greyscale base the better the final effect is
wow….
So good Gerry….. He’s ever so good, he’s Ebeneezer Goode
Great tutorial mate
Nice technique. Thanks!
Terrific! Any shade suggestion for black leather?
because it wears down in the same way I would start with this, and then use black ink and dark tone in a similar manner to add layers to the coat, start in the folds and work out to the edges leaving more of the red brown showing. I’m going to be trying that on a Rommel figure I shall let you know how it works out
