Well that was an educational little video, I shall be sure to reference that some time in the future. Thanks to @limburger for the deviant art link that was a nice little diversion too
That’s a really useful tutorial the banner looks amazing. Can you show the final printed version?
That scaling programme is a real nugget too, bloody pain trying to scale prints!
Yes! That’s where I’d fallen down previously with this sort of thing.
My ink got stuck in the Christmas glut. If it arrives I’ll show it off on the xlbs next sunday
*update* it has arrived and I will indeed show it off on Sundays XLBS if I can I may even drop a photo into this post before then…assuming I can work that out without breaking the video
Nice I think the burnt paper could work for battle damage banners Gerry?
that could work nicely British Colours on a Napoleonic battlefield ragged and shot
Yes i like your thinking.
That was awesome, Guess who is going to be printing stuff in work.
…not me, unless the bosses aren’t reading this. In which case, its me.
Great walkthrough – very useful ?
Thanks you, Gerry.
Very interesting tutorial. Thanks, Gerry!
Nice tutorial, thanks for putting it together.
I’m starting to think working Saga into things is either the OTT version of the Meow game (from SuperTroopers) or the local drinking game 🙂
maaaaaybe
That IrFan scaling thing should always have been a default feature of all art packages
it took me a while to find a way to do it, I assumed things like photoshop/photopea would have it built in for a long time it’s annoyed me. the tutorial was as much about Irfan as the photopeay technique, I’ve printed out 4 banners today on the same sheet of paper and each done individually because I could just go back in tell the Irfan programme what size I wanted and where I wanted it on the paper. I’m sure there is a clever way of putting them on the page at once to print in a single go… Read more »
They have me print out signs for work now and again and I’m never sure if its going to fit on the page, come out stamp sized, or only get 1/4 on. It’s always annoyed me no end. I’ll be using that program for sure.
Great vid @avernos but you have given away all my secrets about flags, how am I ever going to sell them again, lol.
No seriously great and very helpful vid mate
