New Gangs & Penguin Take To The Street For The Batman Miniatures Game
March 26, 2015 by brennon
Knight Models are making things tough for the police forces in Gotham with some more burly looking crooks for the Batman Miniatures Game. See what you think of the Penguin (Gotham), Two Face Gang and Black Gate Prisoners who will be causing havoc on the streets. There are also some policemen hoping to solve the problem...
P...P...Pick Up A Penguin?
The new Penguin is the one we previewed not long ago and is based on the design from the Gotham TV show that you can watch over here in the UK on Channel 5. It's a very good likeness of a well loved character from the show although people have expressed the opinion that they don't really want to see too many more characters from this particular iteration of Gotham.
Gang Warfare
Two new sets of gangsters have also popped up in this new range of releases which include some additional help for Two Face and Blackgate Prisoners who will be smashing things apart. I still reckon if I was going to collect Batman miniatures I would go down the route of proper hardcore criminals.
Keeping The Criminals At Bay
On the side of law and order we have Commissioner Loeb & The Gotham Police which include some heavily armoured and armed riot police and a surly looking detective who seems like he wishes that he was elsewhere while all of this goes down. I think the people of Gotham should all just move to Metropolis and be protected by Superman instead.
Gotham-ising Your Board
Last but not least we have some more scenery to make your urban boards look very 'Gotham'.
These new ones are City Billboards with an etched on design for you to paint easily. I think these are great for adding loads of character.
What will you be picking up?

I’m surprised to see so many releases! The black gate prisoners look pretty cool
Loving the Penguin. Might be time to PPPPPP pick up a pack!
While some people don’t like Gotham, I’d be quite happy to see more! This looks like a (probably bent) Harvey Bullock but I’d like a Detective Gordon to team him up with.
The goon with the molotov makes me happy I chose twoface as my faction, the prisoners are pretty sweet too
From the Knight Models site Mr Trenchcoat is actually a generic GCPD Detective, so my hopes of a Gotham Detectives Gordon/Bullock set remain intact! 🙂 Looking at the stat cards this police set is actually pretty useful, everything in it it can be used in multiple different crews with a mix of heroes and villains.
Those are really nice.
SO loving the terrain coming from this!!!!!
and i do like the gotham versions its good to mix em up i guess with the other stuff
I just had my first batman game today and have to say its amazing!! closest to explain is mix of infinity rules and orders mixed with malifaux missions.
great game !
Can anyone explain to me what the different sources are for the models? I’m considering getting a few figures (I got the book mainly out of interest in what looked like a good and interesting game), but I’m not very familiary with all the different lines of comics, PC games, TV shows and spinoffs, etc. I saw and very much liked the Nolan Trilogy, so guess it makes sense to get figures from that set if I get any. How are figures from that source described? I guess ‘Gotham’ refers to a TV show… Sorry if this is really obvious… Read more »
Gotham – TV ‘prequel’/’origins’ show currently airing its first season. WB won’t allow a Batman TV show to be aired in case it dilutes the movie brand so this is a compromise. Nolan movies – You know those already. 60s TV show – You probably already know this one. Currently there is only the Adam West Batman from this show. Arkham video games – A lot of the minis are from this range, including two of the Batman minis. Watchmen – These minis are based on the movie adaptation of the comic. They comprise a single gang in the game… Read more »
Usually ‘film’ or ‘Dark Knight.’ The product numbers also seem to have relevance to source. The strings in the product numbers like BAO or BAC pertain to Arkham Origins and Arkham City respectively.
If you’re interested in the films there is a bundle available from Knight Models that includes Ra’s and some ninja, Gordon and some cops, as well as Christian Bale Batman. I think there are a few others in there too.
The cops coming from this new box are playable in the Law Forces band but also with the Mafia, Black Mask & 2Face (as corupt cops).
The new releases look great. They give a few of the factions more sidekicks to help them out. I cant wait to see what new releases come out next.
Just waiting on my order of minis at the moment, glad I held off as I added the Oswald to my order
