Wrath of Kings Week: Faction Guide – Goritsi
January 30, 2017 by dignity
The first of our Wrath of Kings faction chats takes a look at Telloria's beastly warriors, creatures and mercenaries that make up House Goritsi.
Watch Wrath of Kings Week
The troops in this faction consist mainly of three distinct types. The Skorza Werewolves, the Zeti Vampires and the Ravenscar Mercenaries who have the distinction of being the only un-augmented troops in the game.

I start collecting Goritsi house because the Skorza are simply magnificent!
But today, after painting some off all three types, Ravenscar are also excelent models and Zeta vampires are so gorgeus!
Well – that settles it, they are definitely my kinda faction with fantastic looking mini’s… This may well be a next project for me…..
This is funny I just commented on the first video saying I couldn’t wait for faction stuff and as soon as the page refreshed this video popped up. Ha ha.
I am with Justin here these guys are cool
Has anyone ever played Shining force on Sega Genesis? The wolfmen remind me of Xylo from that game, who was a total BA.
I like the fact that the minis are near perfect copies of the concept art
I used to be a werewolf but I’m alright no-o-o-O-O-O-OW!
I have these guys from the KS and they literally painted themselves. Such a detailed and dynamic bunch of sculpts!
I found the same for the Shael Han too, they’re really well designed for easy painting.
Really love these mini’s I actually feel that the more cartoony exaggerated style of many of the characters actually helps introduce them to newer players, plus I think it’s fun to paint something a bit different sometimes. So many people I know love the concept artwork with these but don’t know where to get them or where to play them, stock levels within the U.K. also seem to be pretty low so if you do find them they are expensive. I’m just really hoping this week will help give more support to this game as it’s crying out for more… Read more »
Vampires, Werewolves & Badass Normal Mercenaries Oh My 😀
Good Grief those minis look gorgeous.
Really liking the double-bladed swords.
The concept of The Gift sounds real interesting especially the social impact of the changes.
Honour? from mercenaries? HA! mercs care not for such things their only concerns are survival and getting paid ;D
The Blood Engen looks like an utter beast, in multiple senses of the word 🙂
Lord Hob, walking talking incarnation of the phrase “Walk Softly And Cary A Big Stick” but with more of the latter and much less of the former.
Onward! 😀
This one or the mask one???
Hard decision. But made easier by the fact there both in the starter box. Need to look at the price.
I am all about this faction. There is a grand lack of werewolf-style models out there that really show the grace and power but these smash it uuuuup.
And then vampires as well?!?! Holy butts.
Look up Rackham miniatures’ “Wolven of Yllia” and the “Devoureres of Vile-Tis”. The company went bust a few years ago but there models are still available on ebay. You’ll find them to be of a very familiar aesthetic and in some cases even more impressive.
I’ve had a google and good lord some of those are a treat for the eyes, especially the more feminine models.
Who doesn’t like big frikkin’ werewolves and vampire chicks?
Would be nice some Skorza werewolf to my rackham wolven.
I have played against Goritsi with Nasier and they seem to have a hard time with the Samurai Ninjas
Kickstartered this, really like my Hadros. My main foe is Goritsi and their mobility and leadership is insane.
The miniatures are just gorgeous. I might just pick up the starter set just for these.
Theme and sculps look amazing. And full of character
Goritsi looks like the faction for me: large werewolf figures (I find large figures easier to paint well), vampires in purple with potential wardrobe malfunctions during their “dance” and mercs that sound like they can do something other than be fodder (cough…cough..Warmahordes…cough).
Really liking this faction, it has a nice supernatural vibe. If I decide to commit to this game it will be this set or the Shael Han or both.
I always had a soft spot for werewolves and vampires and being able to field them together, sounds very good. And the models look awesome.
I think Justin summed it up pretty well, vampires and werewolves, what more could you want, although I will keep an eye on the other factions as well.
I always dug the take that WoK has on Werewolves and Vampires.
Their werewolves are amazing, I really want some models to paint them!
Went with this faction and even though gaming time is zero is top of list when I get back into it.
