The Legends of Fabled Realms: Fighting As The Druggoi Faction
July 3, 2017 by dignity
We've had our test match with Adam and Cad, we've spoken over the introduction of The Legends of the Fabled Realms and it's time now for us to get to training with Cad to learn the tricks and trades of the Druggoi faction.

Just how gory can they be with us at the command of their dice?
The Legacy format means that if a hero dies in the game they only become wounded. Then, on a white dice roll if a skull appears they are removed from the warband. If not, the hero takes a damage roll from a chart of injuries. The same rule applies for Henchmen, however, when a black is shown on the die.
How would you manage facing off against the Druggoi?

Gosh, I’m *so* intrigued by this game. Honestly it’s primarily the miniatures and the background style I imaginge them to have. I couldn’t really decide which faction to pick though. The vampiric man-beasts lead by those enigmatic dark warriors are very tempting to me.
I always enjoyed growing my raw recruits into heroes in other campaign systems myself.
Its looking very intresting
A very fighty game… though it does highlight the tactic of choosing when to act/react and how.
good stuff, and their kick starter has great pledge levels
The Sell Sword Guild are now unlocked! This means all 4 factions with starter sets are unlocked.
Looking forward to seeing more of this. Sometimes it appears it might not be balanced but then as you watch it played it tends to balance out. I really like the background and the figures. Any chance we will see either of the other factions in these videos?
Hi longshotte,
We didn’t have any of the miniatures for the other factions there when we filmed (in March I think) so we weren’t able to do a video. We may try and do one during the Kickstarter using scratchbuilt models (completely legitimate in the game as you will see in one of the later videos) and record it onto our kickstarter page.
Cad
Really enjoyed watching the start of the legacy element kicking it. I’ll be intrigued to see how it develops in the next games.
I’m very tempted by the Druggoi… and the Guard… and the Sellswords, and of course the Eightfold Path…. and have you seen the Stoic Arms!
My wallet has just run screaming from the room.
I like the ruthlessness of the Druggoi. I douubt they’re the faction for me, but I like that they play as proper bad guys. Hoping there’s plenty of Mordanburg state guard on show as they’ve been unlocked now 🙂
IT is a credit to 4ground that “the dead guys “* are really an appealling army. I tthought this would be my last choice. I am no longer certain. Loved the video too
*Okay I realise they are more “changed” than “dead” but they fit the zombie/ghoul eccological niche.
This game seems to be going against the modern trend of speeding up combats and removing continual rolls and counter rolls, with subsequent tests, and calculations, while remembering character rules and unique factors to account for, then checks, and tests, etc. It took the whole game to get through that little encounter at the well?
I’m surprised no one has commented on it, but it doesn’t seem very fun to me.
Yeah, that was hard to miss.
But, not everything has to be about speed and smooth surfaces. And there are solid reasons why mainstream is usually not associated with real quality and deep and meaningful value. 😉
I have to double check the video, but did @dignity not miss his counterattack on SA4 of the last attack?
I really like what they are doing with the game. With yesterday live, they convince me to pledge, I look forward to create my own adventurers band.
A little promotion of the game in France and I will have opponents ! :p
I must admit, that in the previous video, even though you guys said the rules were really easy to pick up, I found there were so many ‘special rules and circumstances’, I didn’t really found it easy.
But after this play through I’m beginning to really get the feel of the game, and see how the system helps you play, It’s getting harder and harder to not kill my wallet at kickstarter 😀
So many kickstarter impossible to get evey nice stuff
