January 16, 2017 by dignity
Our Relic Knights Week begins with John Cadice from Ninja Division introducing us to the background and mechanics of this skirmish game and its universe!
Watch Relic Knights Week
In this video we discover what role the Knights themselves play in the game and what their Ciphers do as well as getting the details on Esper, the energy that binds the Relic Knights universe together. Plus we learn how it is used in place of dice in the game.

Let me win!!!
looks good!
John the big teddy bear with a velvet voice – so relaxing and personable. 🙂
That was a great wee intro to the Relic Knights universe. Feels like each Faction have a lot more individual flavour in their play style than I first realised. Can’t way to see more about the gameplay. Of course all the miniatures look incredible as well. The studio painted minis John brought with him are to die for. I am going to enjoy this week! 🙂
This has started to peak my interest. Looks interesting.
As a exsisting player Im hopping that after seeing this people will get excited and start playing what is a most excellent game.
There are players and events in the UK and I hope that others will join use.
I play the law cadre ( blue ) the sword sworn Paladins as my first, and entropy ( red ) the Nho as my second.
The change to designs a charictor is just epic, I have a hundred ideares, and who ever wins this is going to be envied.
@Justin: You know what dominion tank police is! You truly are my favourite person in the universe!
It’s great to see John involved with this themed week, he’s a super nice guy and I love the stuff he comes up with!
Roll on the rest of the week!
Dominion Tank Police was the first anime I ever saw!! 🙂 😀
That’s a great introduction to Relic Knights and some really lovely painted miniatures. Looking forward to the rest of the week, and hoping that people will be able to see from the videos how great this game is.
I so need to get Malya as a questing knight. Would be a perfect miniature for my daughter to plah with (while I get one of the awesome looking mechs).
Thanks for this intro. I’m most definitely getting more and more interested in this game.
Looks brilliant, been eagerly awaiting this week. Not sure which faction would take my pick, so am waiting patiently the faction spotlights to get more of a feel for each one.
Really looking forward to this week! 😀
I’ve been with this game since before it was a game and it’s great to see it getting out to a wider audience. I lost count of how many times I’ve read the fluff in the rule book, roll on kickerstarter
The Game looks intresting… can´t wait to see more this week
The models all look cool, really want to see how the no dice works.
Wow
Love those minis
I need to get that big beastie for my noh faction
Seeing the questing knight version of princess Malia gives me hope that we’ll learn a little more about Void Break and Ascension.
Great showing Justin and John! Getting excited.
@dignity based on initial impressions, what faction(s) do you think you’re going to go with?
Space Pirates… I think I know what faction I’m going to play. If I can get some friends interested.
The free minis would be great but I really REALLY wanna make my own Relic Knights mini O.O
Oh a game I might actually be able to beat my jammie brother at since it has no dice: no wait it has a card deck.. still gonna get owned. *sigh*
Because you always have a hand of cards, you do go into an attack or action with some idea of your chances of success. You draw extra cards based on a unit’s skill to see if you can improve on the basic attack, but if you don’t like having to make clutch dice rolls I think this game might suit you.
@Justin I posted my earlier comment before I watched, but oh my god I haven’t heard anyone say Dominion Tank Police in YEARS.
Could just as easily be drawn from Metal Slug though.
Or Ghost in the Shell. Shirow Masamune (sp?) really enjoyed the miniaturized drone tanks.
Or the little tank upgrade/power-up from Ikari Warriors. 😉
now this looks good and the prizes are not to be sniffed at, need to win though or im going to be skint once again. Its all your fault B O W you are the fail safe shiny syndrome activator with no equal.
I said god damn god damn. drop dead gorgeous looking game, i’m such a sucker for all those candy colours.
I’ve been so close to picking up some of their games before and now i’m panicking
as i’m unlikely to make it through the week.
hyped for the faction overviews
So glad it’s getting a big spotlight here, the game is a blast and a welcome change of pace from the more established competition.
Cant wait 😀
