Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
bout ye
Happy Sunday Cogs! Yearning for the old days seems like the majority of my hobby lately… 3D printing helping to resurrect some of that from epic scale 40k to mordheim… and yes the old White Dwarf battle reports were the best!!!!
That was a lot of entertainment from the video title so I’m expecting a great show!
Very good for doing hobby time and making plans for perhaps “one day” playing a game. Aside from that the inspiration for getting actual furniture for display is growing as @lawnor proves that it might just take seeing all the figures in grey to get rid of the bland shade.
I’ve been away all weekend and I’ve just seen the email alerting me to your post. Been trying to work out what I did to inspire you and just realised this is the XLBS page. Guess I won a golden button? Yay me!
Happy Sunday!
I just love those old-style battle reports. They were the first thing I would read in the old White Dwarf magazines when I was younger. My preference is for a narrative report with pictures possibly supported by some mechanics for the crucial parts.
Congrats to the button winners and great show as always folks
Morning lads.
Happy Birthday to the unknown RPG Club
I haz coffee
28:00 What is @brennon not allowed to say?!
We’ll never tell…
booooh!
I think it was his other Brian Blessed impression
(GW are good) it’s like throwing a bucket of water over a witch
For Gerry ???
Happy Sunday……
Yes the XLBS show time
Happy Sunday COGz an OTTers ?✨
It’s a hung over Sunday for Gerry ?!?
Nice prediction for the quarter finals 😀 that is what they deserved though….

The figures look exceptional Ben ?
A Nevermore hound dog Ben?
DDDDDddddooooooooooooooo……..med?
YES, you got Ben into RHLSTP. and the best episode well done our Gerry
RuhHuhLestpuh!
It’s such a great episode. It’s what you’d want from an interview. 8)
Happy Sunday.
I really loved those old White Dwarf battle reports with the diagrams.
Nowadays, I really like very concise reports that are easy to understand the general flow of the game rather than a blow by blow account.
I should play more games and write more battle reports myself.
Ben starts a new paint method dash.slap ?
And that last statement by @avernos is exactly why you should always watch XLBS to the very end. Classic Gerry and classic spot your tea out moment. Now where’s the kitchen towel “clean up on aisle four please!
Be glorious Gerry ?????
I’m Quavering with anticipa
Lol brilliant show guy’s.
I like my battle reports done by someone else! Nice weekend everybody!
@avernos some possible battle report titles: Barbeque at Farthing Wood; Cook out duke out; I love the smell of burning Treemen in the morning; Saute Sortie
Thanks for the Brian Blessed video! Made my day.
White Dwarf battle reports were a scam to always show the latest army winning to get gullible mugs like me to buy the new armies
not always although they did gradually become that.
Ben, the black color scheme looks fantastic. I’ll try to be inspired and paint some of my remaining Royal Elves with Black and Gold with a flash of some other prime color. Great stuff
