It’s the XLBS Show…………Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs! . Well DONE to the Golden Button winners! . . A Well DONE to @warzan for setting a goal and seeing it through. (we have all thought of making a game at one time or another, but not many have pushed through) . Quick question, I’ve been building Black Seas 1/700 ships and have been invited to bring them down to the local coffee shop to play a few games and show off the game it’s self. If any of my fellow CoGs have built these ships as well, how do you transport… Read more »
Things like that are better considered before building, painting and rigging. On all my wargaming ships, I’ve magnetized the bottom of the hull and just put them in an empty biscuit tin.
I’ve been considering that, (magnets).
It’s not too late to add them. Only a few of the ships I have are build and rigged.
Base them and then you can magnetise them like fourtytwo suggests. Carrying them upright and not restricted by packing material is safest
Happy Sunday,
today is the day i watch the greatest movie ever made and then visit Jesus’s house.
Is Jesus your cousin?
Probably a Johnny-come-lately Arsenal supporter
he mows my lawn
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Thanks for the golden button, Ben, when it gets brighter today I will take some more pics of the dragon and upload them in the discord
The pictures look amaising. In Finland we have a chocolate named Kismet.
Ok @warzan. AI art. I get it now. It feels very much like when I go and play at the local jam nights. Yes, there’s a whole bunch of songs that we’re all familiar with, or riffs or chord structures. There’s a certain background knowledge of stuff that’s just enough to create something similar, on the fly. I love playing at jam nights. Very often we’ll get up on stage and not know what is going to come out. We might start a song that people know – but it comes out very different. The bassist might play a funk… Read more »
lol Thanks @blinky465 I’ll keep throwing the dev versions of it into the forum post until we get a good working copy 🙂
Feel free to feedback all you want on it btw 🙂
Morning XLBSers happy Sunday.
As seen on Hugh Jackman in the film Australia @warzan
Another thing nicked from/for fortyK ?
If you lay a thin layer of cracket paint for the wing’s it may be good for vains @avernos ?
@warzan when old Sun was talking about not fighting if Warren has wind he talking in reference to your biological warfare capabilities and not your massive fan.
lol
Nice one @warzan you could be a multi millionaire like JK Rowling with game’s ?
God-dam gungans.
Happy Sunday!
“I have sisters in this game!” Warren expresses a lifelong regret… somewhere not so far away Lloyd is getting flashbacks of being dressed up in girls clothes as a small child by his elder brother…
If you’ve played Crusader Kings 3 you may be reminded of the very thematic artwork on the load screens…
Razed looks interesting, I’ll check it out.
Semi Happy Sunday (last day of my three weeks leave from work) 00:00 A game with AI or a game made with the help of AI? Wording! So important! And maybe the AI made the game with a bit of help from @warzan? 00:01 HELL NO! 03:45 Mad Hatter 05:00 needs more cork! 06:45 way to many hospital news. 07:20 Pile Of Opportunity! P.o.O.! Also did @brennon go to the barber? 08:30 I’d be annoyed if I got paint in my crack! 11:00 “A little bit smaller then little big man big man” 11:45 Protect your knees! 16:50 “Crack paint”… Read more »
I’m so Jealous of Warrens hat, need to play an Aussie based Deadmans hand with Gerruy wearing it.
Ben wants A BT battle report there is one in Bob’s Battletech.
Idea for Warren for images for his mat request, have a look at the Quatra Depression in the Saraha, it was formed the southern barrier in the El Alamein defences as it was a Salt Flat or the one in Death Valley.
Tracy island?
A Brilliant show guy’s.
Happy Sunday and some really nice Golden Button winning projects there.
What an amazing piece of work that is Warren. Not only does the mechanics of the game sound really interesting but the art really lifts it. There’s quite a few pieces that would look good on the wall.
Great ideas, keep them comming, it’s great. The art is fantastic, but will cost me 20 or more of your favoured currency, in printer ink. Keep dragging cards.
My favorite thing ever is when Warren gets super jazzed about something and digs deep into it. Love the enthusiasm, and he comes up with some great stuff.
An inspirational XLBS this week. Creativity can be rewarded in the modern age but there is the question of material creations. Physical art hasn’t been replaced yet in traditional media
Excellent show.
@warzan, Completely blown away by all that art you’ve generated. it all looks so epic. The game system looks fascinating too.
I love that you make game systems that your kids can play too. That is a massive win from me.
Maybe you could revisit your Scooby Doo game and add some unique art to that too?
Great job on the RPG, the equipment discussion reminds me of the game “Blades in the Dark” from Evil Hat, they use the load out method and you have a sheet based on your level/class that is your possible equipment and your loadout determines how many times you can check things off on it.
I used a crackle paint years ago for my Wrath of Kings basing .. it was used for giving furniture an antique look (found at craft store). Love the crackle.
