It’s the XLBS Show………Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs! Love all the Firelock Games systems! Really enjoying my read-through of the new rules of ‘Blood and Steel’. I’ll be watching the @avernos build up for Blood and Steel. I’m looking forward to trying the rules for my British Victorian Company that is one-to-one in model count. I just need to force myself to buy more opposing forces for them to square off against on the table! @fcostin I hope you enjoy Malifaux. I’m still stuck in the rule version MKI. I’d be curious to what has changed in the MKII rules. @brennon… Read more »
Malifaux is up to 3rd edition dude.
Really?
What changes have there been? ?
Some huge profile changes, and some character blending with their slightly larger system The Other Side. I haven’t much of a chance to play it yet.
Happy Sunday,
I hope we dont forget what is most important in life. Jesus and the greatest movie ever made.
A blessed Sunday to one and all.
If anyone hasn’t played the boardgame Battle for Rokugan, give it a shot as its a fantastic game, even if I do say so myself as a main play tester for it ?
No Ben … you don’t say “van Cock”
I know it’s not a sound that appears to exist in the English language, so maybe simply refer to him as the one eared painter of sunflowers ? 😉
I was channelling my inner Warren 😉
be careful … he might take over your body completely 😉
My fire strategy worked perfectly and I will not apologise
@fcostin My missus says your bear is adorable and should be pulling a little red wagon filled with bones. I’m stopping her from watching XLBS after this. She’s getting ideas
Welcome to Sunday, I finished off my O-12 reinforcements, except for the TAG.
I love the Middle Earth Strategy game, I have my Lothloren army of Galadhrim, but I also have a Palace Guard army lead by Thranduil, yes it’s cheating to bring a full force of bodyguards, so they automatically pass courage checks, but smart opponents will kill Thranduil to weaken the entire army.
Hi XLBSers.
Ian Fleming was in Naval Intelligence in WW2, hence Commander Bond.
Way better than a Glasgow kiss but people do remember that unless it’s a great one.?
Ooh Gerry go’s for the GW two thin coats them ?Lol
I just threw up in my mouth
is that the Covid Gerry?
So which one is Mel Gibson?.
Oops.
@brennon For WWI wargaming action there is also a Chain of Command adaption in one of there specials around when CoC was fairly newish so 2014/2015 era I think. Just as another option.
Oh awesome – thanks for letting me know. I will be taking a closer look!
Didn’t Guy Martin help make a WWI tank a year or two ago?
Fcuk
Yup he did folk’s.

Waaaankers! 06:30 unmount, loose two shades of skin colour… seems ok. 06:55 “…only two more units to worry about…” But I don’t want to worry about my hobby! It should be fun and relaxing 18:00 polishing beavers? 20:00 was that Pascal in the background audio?! @free 21:12 no tonks? 25:00 that looks like a scene from any old cloak and dagger movies 8) 31:00 still… Read more »
I will forgive you then for a lack of road markings 😉

Happy Sunday.
I love that teddy bear Free, he seems very happy.
Congratulations to the golden button winners. Sundancer? Never heard of him ?
Sundancer’s around the world with 80 Botwar mini’s.
Mone the Smurfs.
Nice one guy’s.
congrats to the button winner’s.
Relaxing an football is that not a contradiction Gerry?
I believe that we’ve had a Zorg rush here in the comments not unlike the Starcraft wave attack of small aliens. Great show and I’m glad to see the history behind minis in Sweden. Nightmare fuel was had in many doses but will be managed through future hobbying. Golden buttons to well earnes efforts and I am pleased for another week. @brennon With this week’s front stage coverage of samurai will you be doing a force of Ben-to?(discount food fighting not required) Now with the XLBS will you make @warzan pleased as punch to see Sea Peoples for Saga or… Read more »
Here you are @avernos, dioramas in little 3d printed boxes: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1504153/ . I don’t believe I’ve ever received any button for those… wink wink.
@avernos the reason I’m disappointed that Theodore Rosevelt wasn’t in Blood & Steel is because he’s the major iconic character of that war and was present, with the Rough Riders, at every major point, from the landing at Daiquiri, the battle at Las Guasimas, the Battle of San Juan Hill and the Siege of Santiago. Instead, they gave us Fredrick Funston. Now he is a very interesting character in his own right. He fought with the Cuban insurgents prior to the Spanish American War and he fought against the Filipino insurgents after the Spanish American War, but he didn’t actually… Read more »
My initial thought was just the British that battled in Europe but you are right – there are LOADS of different options for me to choose from. I should look further afield!
.
There us also the Italian front, Gallipoli and Sinai and Palestine
True. A mixed British/Arab force could be a lot of fun
Even a Western front force could contain troops throughout the Empire giving you lots of really interesting options
He found the rules and the mini’s and we had a great game, was a blast 🙂 thanks @avernos
