Hola and happy Sunday CoGs, OTTers, and Backstagers!
I’ve mentioned this previously but my gaming group meets every year after our 3 day weekend in October which coi-incides with Sydney’s big wargaming con – MOAV and we work out what we are playing for the following year. We get 1 pick each (there is four of us) and we each try to pick something different in size scale and genre. For example I may pick a 28mm Fantasy Warband game (Mordheim), someone else may pick a Epic scale sci-fi army-size game (Imperialis), another a 28mm Pirate game (Blood and Plunder) and another may pick a WWII 15mm Battalion… Read more »
Hate Fist! Metal (minis)! Qwaaaar!
Yeah, I think this might be inspiration for @warzan to make another song with AI to regale us with when he pops back onto the XLBS. A good look into the hobby time of the crew and some great Golden Buttons. Good show in the can.
After Bens faux pas about his woman do we know if he’s still breathing and all his extremities still attached?
Has someone from OTT checked?
We took a pledge not to get involved he’s on his own
You have chosen….Wisely
if he won’t show up in the future we will know 😉
Happy Sunday CoGs! The OTT Chuckle Brothers back again? Excellent start to the day. That Squirrel and Hedgehog cartoon reminds me of the brutality of Animals of Farthing Wood where all the baby mice were skewered on a gorse bush complete with streams of blood… if a child does have PTSD, did they have a real childhood?
Congrats to the butt-butt-dingers, great work as usual. I think that’s the first time I’ve seen HATE models actually in the wild, they are lovely.
Anyone remember “Happy Tree Friends” ?
(Let’s just say that it’s not a kid-friendly cartoon … unless your kids are bloodthirsty maniacs 😉 )
Happy Sunday COGz an OTTers ✨👍✨
Nice Rorkes Drift. I need to get mine set up again
I think it anyone has any Zulu figures they don’t use they should send them to the BOW studio for Gerry to add to the table ?!?
My first White Dwarf issue was the one where they launched the attack bike and elder vyper… bugger I’m old!
Gundam an disco as you kill John 👍
I have multiple projects going on at one which means nothing ever gets finished. I still haven’t finished the spring clean challenge from last year.
At the moment I’m luck that I’ve got two “normal” friends who have got into malifaux, so I’ve started doing a Resurrectionist crew but even that has now split into two projects.
That’s @oriskany ‘s army training keep changing the code @avernos perhaps?!?🤔
I promise it’s not intentional @zorg … just keeping everything in one “real” thread. Maybe I should retire the other ones.
If it’s keeping you organised don’t change the routine Jim 👍
Great show guy’s as ever👍
Congratulations to the gold button winners🏅🏅🏅
Hell yeah I’m up for zulus. The horns of the zulu is literally the only strategy I know
Happy Sunday.
Sunday, happy 00:00 Plaaaaaaaaaaanes 17:30 “Your woman”? Oh, was nice knowing you @brennon XD 21:00 Dawn of War still is a nice computer tabletop game. 23:45 and why did you only buy so much G’Wullu? 26:30 Waalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad 32:00 shooting medic? oO 39:45 ruined farmhouses! all of them! 47:30 Battletech burns. And that is just salt in the wounds 51:10 50 shades of MAWM 53:00 Oh my. 54:00 one more thing. one more thing. 1:01:00 sell stuff? weird concept. will never catch on. 1:07:30 the only thing I focus on are my hobby funds. everything is futile. 1:12:00 WAYPN is a… Read more »
I was in Porthmadog Models on hols too. I picked up some German sentries.
Happy Sunday…..and Ben your in for a fisting son, calling your fiancee “My Woman” live on air tut tut!
I’m a hobby butterfly with a wide varity of projects on the go.
Happy Sunday everyone. I have gotten rid of about half of my stuff over five years- mostly games I know I will never play again. The last army I sold off/gave away were the old Citadel Vikings. There are same armies I have kept as painting projects even though I will never play with them. I just like to see fully painted armies in my showcase.his I only play a handful of mass battle games, and maybe six or seven skirmish games. I find it hard not to buy new systems, but with time I am getting better at it.… Read more »
I definitely lean more towards the Gerry end of the spectrum. If a game catches my eye I’ll buy and paint enough miniatures and terrain to try it out, then if I like the game I’ll buy a second round of stuff, paint that…and never get back to the game. I seem to do a lot better with board game hybrids like Core Space or Mythic Battles, but I do have a hard time focusing on any one game. There’s just too much interesting stuff out there.
Aaargh! Really annoyed that I didn’t bother to look up wargaming stores in Portmadog myself: my boys and myself would have loved it! Also, was the book store also in Portmadog @brennon ? If it was, I may have been there as well over the Summer. Lovely bookshop indeed, where I got myself some Welsh language fantasy books.
It was indeed – at the top end of the town away from the harbour. Was slightly awkward going in there but it did look like a nice selection!
Holy crap, I’m just seeing where I won a Golden Button! Thanks so much guys! @johnlyons , @brennon , @avernos ! Super appreciate it! Congrats to the other winners as well! Ha ha! Drilled Bazookas for the win! My trick for the gun metal is to wash in black (as John says), dry brush with interference blue. For Ukraine, I did Makhariv in Panzer Leader Moderns and then Skybyn in 15mm Seven Days to the River Rhine. Sorry, @avernos – for the how I organize (or DON’T organize) my thread. 🙁 Hey, it’s not my fault my project doesn’t pop… Read more »
