Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
Lol, the will of OTT crew.. so stronk and unyielding, like rigid steel in Kislev winter. Yep, let’s just see what else they get sidetracked with by June.
It is…inevitable
June? My dear @horati0nosebl0wer I’d be surprised if we keep it straight for January XD
Happy Sunday! And very happy with the golden button: definitely a motivator to upload pictures of my latest additions to the project. I’m also utterly humbled by the amazing other golden button winners: that is some beautiful hobby right there.
Great project and well deserved button!
The wide funnels on US locomotives is to prevent sparks from starting prairie fires since they were wood fueled.
Thank you! Makes sense
I still think they’re for cooking things on the move…
Why not do both?
Wood on fire and pigeons on fire would be very smaller, I think we can all agree I was 95% right.
Wood Pigeons?
Not as big as wooden badgers or bunnies
Don’t worry @johnlyons – you would have gotten a bigger backlash if you asked the community whether you should make some 40k content ?
I’d rather have a whole train layout’s worth of Gunpla over that!
**starts scribbling a list for Giftmas**
wishing all a happy Sunday ?
Happy Sunday.
I want to hear you talk more about Gundam, John. I’m thinking of picking up a set myself. Don’t listen to what the others are saying.
That wide funnel on US trains are definitely not for cooking, that’s what the shovel is for, bacon and sausage on the shovel and into the firebox. I thought everyone knew that.

@lloyd trains https://www.baccus6mm.com/catalogue/PonyWars/TheScenery/
at a proper scale
#gunplaforthewin
🙂 6mm we meet again.
Gerry, you could use a black and white map for WWII, with the folks in color. I think you should finish it. John, Gunpla is far better than 13.5mm so keep on keeping on 🙂
John the Chimney is a Sparkarrester so it dose not set fire to the grass/ woods
or pigeons.
How can we have charred pigeons on the rail lines if they’re all at home in the cities? Is this one of those European issues related to your trains again @lloyd?
The indie of the week has just caused me to order a cyberpunk set, you b@$*&^ds. My thinking is Judge Dredd, Firefight, Stargrave and 5 Parsecs from home. Won’t be able to use it for Star Wars as there’s not been a fire sale yet @sundancer
This was not the comment section I was looking for
actually I think it was spot on lol
*waves hand* There is no fire sale
Yay XLBS time.?
Get the bamboo soon Lloyd it’s all flowering before they bie.??
Lol brilliant show guy’s.
@johnlyons For Blue Eyed Samurai inspired stuff, you probably won’t find much in plastic as those ranges are really geared up for Senguko period battles. For the unarmoured ronin, the Test of Honour stuff by Grey for Now are quite diverse, plus there’s some nice characters in the Warring States range at Footsore. Warlord Games also did some bandits that I think sit in their Warlords of Erewhon range. Bac Ninh have a few cinema inspired ronin as well. Rules wise, grab Ronin by Osprey.
Excellent episode – love the Balemory references ??. My kids loved it. Archie was a not a favourite character though – I think it was the painter and decorator ?.
@avernos finish the project!! Finish the project!!
can we play at Easter, want more TWD
@lloyd got Epic battles ACW Guts & Glory and Warlord Games Epic Battles American Civil War Starter Set Military Table Top Wargaming Models, Starter Set from Santa. Got loads of teeny tiny ACW you on for some ACW??
I focus by playing a game! I’m proxying miniatures for the Gloomhaven: Crimson Scales expansion, with Wildspire miniatures, available on Amazon. Playing solo. If I don’t have a painted miniature for a character or enemy, I grab a miniature and paint it up! Provides focus, and I’m a little faster painting, since I’m eager to play! I’m not seeing a way to post pics, so here’s the thread of the mini’s on Reaper:
The mini’s: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/103935-wildspire-miniatures-gloomhaven-crimson-scales-thread/#comment-2125919
@johnlyons just to be clear on my issue with Gunpla. I have no issue with you talking about it on xlbs, just like Lloyd talks endlessly about trains. My issue was with creating content for OTT site specifically dedicated to that. I get that it’s your hobby and you fill your boots and enjoy it. I just think that OTT is a tabletop gaming platform and should stick to that without going on tangents? As to the wide funnels on trains I have an idea it has something to do with fuel being used. They used wood rather than coal… Read more »
“Lloyd talks endlessly about trains” – you’d be all up in that if they where 6mm 🙂
