Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday and dont forget to watch the Greatest movie ever made.
It’s the first XLBS Show of 2023……Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs!
It’s been too long. I was going into withdrawal.
@darkvernon A gamer after my own heart with your music selection. Who the hell else would know DJ Accucrack? “Our best weapon is popular music played by a modern band…”. Good work
@dignity Good job on the cleaning. I should get to you about any remnants from your harsh hobby cathartic enema that you performed on yourself.
@avernos Good that the base got there all safe and sound. It’s a perfect spot to put your SAGA warlord. I’ll see if I can pull up the Gerry figure stl from Heroforge to place on it.
@brennon loving the lore and paint job on The Forgotten, they’ve managed to stir some motivation in my flagging soul.
Cheers – I thought it was a good bit of fun 🙂
Really interesting show guys! The 2023 resolutions and how to focus have been something I’ve given a bit of thought to over Christmas. Too many thoughts to waffle here but I’ll start a project to set out my approach because that, in and of itself, is a motivator!
Also – I love the idea of a real-time hobby hangout XLBS – you may as well chat about your hobby while you’re actually doing it! It would also be an incentive to hobby along while watching.
Project started!

Hi OTTers.
It’s a battle mankini.
Only thing better than a good plan is a cunning plan.
Ooh great GW GW marine’s Ben.
Gerry the moldline bloodhound Squirrel.
Cat litter 1£ a bag.?
Not any more.?
Paint all your figures !?!? It must be the end time’s right enough.?
Happy New Year all!
Ben, awesome work on the Space Marines, they look fantastic, plus it’s an inspiring achievement to have got them completed in that short amount of time.
Thanks chap! I have found it a fun little experiment!
That could have been Ben’s next present Justin.
A great start to the year guy’s.
You could start a homeless shelter in the studio Justin an stick the army’s their for other people to re-home.?
I don’t think I’ve ever kept a NY Resolution, so this will probably also fall before the end of January, but I have listed my unfinished armies from least work to everything and will to buy any more figures until one army is completed. For those interested from nearly done to not even started: 10mm SYW Imaginations = 2 armies to paint Test of Honor = about 25 figures to start Core Space = Most figures started, but only a handful finished Bolt Action = 2/3 British & 1/2 German done ECW = About 1/3 still to do Wars of… Read more »
i like this discussion at the beginning of the year – always the same 😉 – but i think C.U.T.I.H (clean up things i have) will be the goal of 2023 – i have only one new project in mind for 2025 – so lets finish the other 15+ projects 😉 and right now i will clean up my painting area – happy sunday to you
Happy Sunday.
My focus this year is to try to only get miniatures for games I’m actively playing and to limit the amount of systems I collect for. I’ve already started this buy trying to fill out some of the enemy tables in Five Leagues. This does mean I’ve just bought a whole load more minis.
In a while I’m going to go through and have a good sort out of both games and minis and sell the things I no longer use or plan to use.
Happy new year!
WTF Justin! You sir are inhuman. As far as resolutions go my main focus is not buying too many new miniatures this year. In order to make this a reality I want to make 2023 a year of terrain. I know I’ll buy stuff but if it’s pre-coloured terrain it will consume cash but not hobby overhead. That’s the plan at least. I already have a ton of games that I’ve never even got to the table so I’m hoping to feed my lust for new experiences with stuff I already own. Plus this is going to be a hard… Read more »

Lol.
Thanks for the golden button. I’m planning on concentrating on my alamo project as my main hobby and I have a budget for that each month. But each month I get something random for a lesser project which is usually a skirmish game. What I won’t do is start a new project on the scale of the alamo until its completed hopefully middle of the year
I’m trying to do one project at a time. Starting easy with a Blood Bowl team: low model count and a definite end point. I’m planning and purchasing the following project and I think the key is not to get too far into the future (like, say getting too enthused about other projects – looking at you, Fantastic Battles).
