Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
In a lots of ways 3D printing is like KS in that it is an easy trao to end up with more stuff tha you will ever need or be able to paint. The only difference is the print time is quicker. Recently my gaming group moved to our next games campaign – Mordheim. We started looking at buildings and warbands. We printed off 20ish buildings, painted them and now are wondering where we store them all. Because of previous campaigns we printed loads of Space Hulk scenery, Blood and Plunder ships and scenery, Samurai Japan scenery for Test of… Read more »
Happy Sunday
Great show. I don’t usually like real people on my tele, but Jack was really good. I enjoyed his informed and balanced view on things. Despite his livelihood being 3D print related, I suspect just off camera there is a box on the wall with “in case of emergency break glass”, and behind that glass there are bricks and pliers….
I was fascinated by his take on 3D printing material not being as good and how it is either a stepping stone or dead end, which is in stark contrast to a lot of other people extolling the virtues of printing and how we should all get on board.
Agree. I imagine he is an example of what the industry is having to become, rather than wanting to become…
Happy Sunday XLBSers and COGz.
That is Gerry’s Xmas viewing the two Zulu film’s.??
The Box of Delights, the best Dr Who spin off ever.
If you see someone,
tell someone.
Lol the ?King has spoken.
Happy Sunday.
I didn’t know that about Renedra, cool.
Three great golden button winners there. Love those gnomes and those photos of all of those tanks.
Interesting to hear that the current technology of 3d printing might not go anywhere. This is probably like early home computing where it was much more of a hobby and a tinkerer’s art than anything useful to the masses. I look forward to getting my Star Trek replicator later on in life.
One tank of fuel !?!?
Fantastic work on your projects people.
Good one guy’s.
Happy Sunday CoGs! Fascinating to hear Jack’s view on 3D printing; from it’s future to the design consideration.
Thanks for the butt-butt-ding. Don’t worry @brennon the printer is going brrr brrr in the background right now with the new gnomes. Can’t claim credit for the paint scheme, Alex is responsible for that too. Such a delight to paint and now they have been filled out with more units, they have been elevated from fun side project to next Kings of War army.
Happy advent 1st 00:00 Horrible topic! 01:45 For the love of VLOG historicals? 03:00 Hobby in a controlled environment. 05:00 line them up for a parade. Let the enemy do the shooting. 13:00 this is a Twilight Zone episode… @avernos talking so much about 3D printing, not cursing or throwing up XD 19:00 Tell me more, tell me more! 21:30 Download all the files! Streaming is the devil! 28:00 BTTK! 37:30 We as a hobby should not have lasers in our houses…. there will be fires and cut of limbs and blindings. We are too stupid for that kind of… Read more »
Gerry! If you have any influence with Charlie and War Games Atlantic please twist something or someone to get heads for the ” Black and Tans” and if they feel generous some overcoats, as it always rains in Ireland.
I’m pushing for some sam brown pounches for the front as well
Every Black needs one. Even two of in the civil war winners.
HAPPY SUNDAY….
My PC ran out of hard disk space a couple of months ago and when I checked it was all the 3D files I’d downloaded. I realised I was unlikely to print most and many are tied to online accounts like MyMinifactory where I can just download them again. So most got deleted. Some may not be accessible to me again but it was going to be too much trouble to figure that out. I also realised my Heroes Infinite subscription gives me more models per month that I can actually print. One month I did try to print one… Read more »
On Dakka, we have a thread on racial diversity wrt miniatures, and I think 3D printing will definitely help anyone who wants a particular character that’s not on the market to have the character they want, be it race, fictional race, disability, or whatnot.
