A fine episode where @johnlyons shows us unimaginable levels of meditation second only to the immense contemplation of one’s own navel. We find The wit and candor of the always helpful @avernos providing a great number of pointers on how to spend more on hobby. We also see @warzan be inspirational for just a brief moment and share insight on small goings on with passing fancies.
A tightly scripted episode worthy of production value relative to @sundancer and The Hitlercast
I doze off in one episode and now I get compared to the XLBS?! Great! 😉
Happy Sunday COGs. Nice to be able to watch the show without any interruptions at home this week. Happy to report that even with all my courses and work in having time to work on my napoleonic epic. Using paint pens and really enjoying. It’s really helping me to relax and refocus during a busy time in my life. Also started a arnham FOW project which is in the undecoat stage. I blame Mrs holland and Am Murray for that impeccable podcast We Have Ways of Making You Talk. Haven’t jumped into armoured clash YET but I have a lot… Read more »
I’m looking forward to reading Al’s book on arnhem which is just out recently he’s been talking about it a fair bit and I’m loving the sound of it
Very much the same, the podcast series they held on arnham was great . I’ve been reading James Holland’s books in order from Sicily for first time and genuinely enjoying. Also reading Saul Davids book on the devil brigades 200 foot assault in Italy, the force. I haven’t dived into his brothers Roman books as yet…yet. One I’m very much enjoying is the Big Little war by James dunford wood. It’s the early WW2 Iraq / German attempt to secure the middle East oil supplies, almost a sideline during the greek invasion but if they had succeeded…. Short book but… Read more »
I also purchased that book haven’t got round to it yet, still in the middle of reading Normandy 44 by Mr Holland and then to read sword beach by Stephen Fischer.
Love We Have Ways pod!
Great listen long may it contiune. Recommend real dictators too
Yep, Real Dictators is quality too. Real Narcos is also a blast!
Thanks for the button chaps, in with some great company this week as well!
Happy Sunday COGz an OTTers I’m not sure what that start was. ?!?
The ship is looking great @warzan 👍
Warren’s bat cave 🤔👍
@warzan As long as you have the hexes running across the tables in a straight line it should work exactly like using squares shouldn’t it?
Happy Sunday! 00:00 Oh christ, @avernos dug to deep. He found the archives of Austrian television 01:30 Trains now do Mortal Combat in Ireland? Scary! 04:30 @johnlyons doing doughnuts? I don’t think he’s torture his little car in that way. 08:00 Tiny painted doggos 13:45 NO! Nooooooo! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Bad @warzan! Bad! Don’t put wet stuff next to your UPS and live plugs! Nooooooo! 14:00 also: mount your 19″ rails properly! 15:50 Did he measure? did he? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. 18:30 Pledge allegiance to the floor polish 21:00 A mat for dessert. 23:15 Back on rails. 27:00 Enjoying 6 inches, flaming … this… Read more »
Rebels really is pretty great. I continually feel bad that I waited until the end of Season 1 to jump on board. Clone Wars is really going for a different vibe to what Rebels aims for, but the nice thing is you can cherry-pick out the most essential episodes (I think Disney+ even has specific arcs keyed up so you can just watch those).
Gotta respect that John edits these and calls himself out for zoning out
Fab show guy’s 👍
Happy Sunday.
I sometimes get like John when my friends are talking about some 40k novels they’ve read.
The last incarnation was Pledge Revive It Floor Gloss before it was completely discontinued in January 2022.
yup that’s the bottle I held up, didn’t know it was discontinued I imagine there will be another out there
I believe there is something similar, called Holloway House Quick Shine. I remember Jon Bius on youTube did something on it a year or so ago. I’ll see if I can find the link….

I am with John on the whole handegg (American Football) like games. I did know about the sports that the ancient Aztec or the Mayans played and that somewhat interests me as I am interested in history. The whole Bloodbowl, Dreadball thing just isn’t for me. John’s hobby would have been far more interesting in my opinion….
now think about how we feel when someone talks cars RC or otherwise… can’t please everyone
if your interested in the Little Big Horn check out a movie called “Son of The Morning Star”. Its shoes the battle from both Indian and Cavalry perspectives, and unlike many movies its not all over in 5 minutes!
oooh thanks hadn’t heard of that one
Happy Sunday……nice total zone out John.
There’s a school near me with a “listen to the birds” sign on its fence. Nice sentiment but it’s right on the Birmingham middle ring road – bit optimistic!
Dungeonbowl is still a thing. Im sure the thing Gerry is on about was mega bowl for 4 players because the original dungeonbowl had a dungeon floor lay out
@avernos Done! Thanks for the golden button — I’m in excellent company, @ewokkebab‘s town is epic and @hazyboy75 has me wondering if I’ve been doing washes and highlights in the wrong order all this time…
