It’s the XLBS Show…………..Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs!
Looking forward to The Silver Bayonet themed week. I’ve read through the rules once but have yet to choose some minis.
Nice Battle Report! Great minis being painted up by Site Members, well done, you’ve earned those Golden Buttons!
Happy Sunday
what a great day to watch you guessed it” the greatest movie ever made” and its a Two taco sunday Happy days Happy days
Lots of lovely stuff this week. A true cavalcade of lovely miniatures and a very lovely kitten
Let’s put it this way, there’s paperwork somewhere to suggest there is actually a desk under all that stuff!
Happy Sunday!
Nicely painted Silver Bayonet stuff……though you missed a few spots and mold lines……though you could pretend those mold lines are where the clothing was ironed lol
Happy Sunday guys hope your all well and had a enjoyable week. You need to get yourself a box of fluffy rattle mice from amazon Free, keeps my CalicoJess the brush bandit busy but I warn you youl be finding fluffy rattle mice EVERYWHERE but they do cut down on the sass. Northumbrian do some great sculpts, as a Warp minis fan you can understand why I’ve made a few purchases. My Copy of Wars of Ozz arrived from Sally 4th this week, really well put together, can’t wait to get stuck in. Wonderful golden buttons and hobby updates from… Read more »

No one is seeing my hobby space. A person’s hobby space is their own private kingdom
Well done to the Golden Buttoneers! As someone (like Demonsub) who lives close to Northumbrian Tin Soldier, I can’t help but sing their praises too. Just like Midlam Miniatures and Oathsworn, it warms my heart to see beautiful and unusual sculpts being made up here in the frozen North East. It all goes to show that there is whimsical life outside of the Nottingham lead belt.
It’s great isn’t it, the lads at Northumbrian are always up for a good chat.
I only recently discovered Midlam, and have a few minis from them. I’m eagerly waiting for my dwarves from their recent Kickstarter. I know they have a brick & mortar store which I’ve yet to visit.
Love Oathsworn as well.
When it comes to cleaning my space and taking care of my tools, Jentastic Drunken Brush Goop from Monument Hobbies is the best brush soap and brush conditioner that I have ever used in my 35 yrs plus of painting minis. I say this as when I do a re-set on my hobby space, I do a full clean and maintenance on all my tools as well.
Like Gerry’s little bit of fluff for the French Revolution for Silver Bayonet.
On painting for it I have and so does Keith our mad Viking a fair amount of Napoleonic painted Single figures, including a Naval Landing Party.
I think you check out the Monument brushes. Designed by a mini painter for mini painters. Natural and synthetics rock.
Talking of tank rounds in the Tiger. Our M109s in the Gulf were packed inside with HE rounds and charge increments. I can’t remember how many but it was over 30. One of the guns in O Bty had an electrical fire which set off the ammo. The turrent was blown off completely and the barrel was fired off like a rocket and was buried into the ground several metres to the front. There were no injuries apart from the officer who drove the M109 away from the ammo truck. He was hit with shrapnel in the arm. Otherwise all… Read more »
Wow, a golden button, thanks, and yes, I do live within walking distance to the Northumbrian Tin Soldier store ? The guys there are great to chat to. My brush setup is very similar to Gerry’s. One or two brushes for detail work, and cheap and cheerful brushes (the blue once’s for The Works) for everything else. When using brush soap, even the cheap ones will last a good length of time. I get my makeup brushes, for drybrushing, from Poundland. Must say that photo of Pascal looking up looks really cute. Looking forward to Silver Bayonet week. It’s one… Read more »
I use the Zulu shields as wound markers. I do like the casualty markers but I’d have to make 20 or so just for my various British units never mind the mass of zulus. They do look good though so I might steal that idea for smaller armies
Happy weekend XLBS COGz.
So what do we get for spotting moldlines @avernos?
for spotting the ones I didn’t point out myself 10 internet points per line
Challenge accepted.
Ooh, lovely hobby things!
By the way, the TTCombat advent calendar is all previews for next year, nothing that has been released yet.
Your skelybob picture was way darker than the other’s Gerry.
yup that’s cause I didn’t light it as I wasn’t going to show it and then thought I would for novelty value
I thought it was very atmospheric
A nice coppery gold to the dreadnought Ben.
Pound shop brushes for the highlight job’s Ben.

Looks like it’s personalize your chair.
