ready to start a new day?
Happy Sunday!
why not start it with “The Greatest Movie ever Made”
welcome back He who must not be named
If Ben comes over with his little dwarves there are probably enough of us now to have a little Fantastic Battles convention
Was watching a video about speedpaints and it was saying if you want to highlight speedpaint with ordinary acrylics then if you mix the paint with the speedpaint medium instead of water it won’t reactivate the speedpaint underneath
The Unit Colour Compendium at https://unitcolorcompendium.com/ , also is a great resource for colour schemes.
John, I will copying the canopy colour scheme for my St.Ives Compact! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
There’s something special about Warhammer. Especially when you go back to its routes of being a portmanteau world of fun as the great Priestley original envisaged, the world just becomes your mollusc.
And Lord of the Rings minis look fantastic all ranked up.
I have been finding myself going back in time relative to my nostalgia era. There’s a lot of interest that lays in previous editions to my 6th Ed. I’ve been loving the extra crunchiness in previous editions and adoring the superior card based Magics of 4th Ed etc!!
Any way, I could ramble on forever…….
Ciao
Nice cover pick, Classic Marauder!
Nice mechs John.cockpits really nice.
and your missile ports.
They are probably in that game using BT minatures supplement. Think they reprinted them in one of the tactical or strategic ops books.
Gods – the idea of 28mm Battletech is equal parts awesome and terrifying. Having a bit of a think about it though, I see potential as a low-SKU range. I mean you’d only need faction-specific regular Infantry / Specialists as Battle Armours end up much less locked to specific factions the further along the Eras you go. Plus it could be fun trying some of those asymetric scenarios where even the lightest of scout-mechs like the Wasp or the Flea pose real problems for unsupported infantry… Oh yeah, and I’m LOVING the IlKhan setting so far – the latest sourcebook… Read more »
I have 28mm mechs , mixture of kits and Toys, Even painted some.
Hello
Hi
I think it’s
you’re right

it’s great to see

they can’t but help post
Warhammer, Warmaster and Mordheim make regular re-appearances in my life. In fact I’ve just bought a ticket in a Warhammer 6th ed event and I can’t wait to get my Dogs of War back on the table.
Ah yes, love my DoWs as well… well what I’ve got left either given away or sold off out of my pile of shame when GW made them redundant in favour of medieval space marines in their new age of Sigmar. Thanks for the inspiration I’m now going to dust off my 40 or so Alcatani Fellowship pike men and Bronzino’s Galloper Guns for a painting refresh. ??
Good morning all… on this sunny start in the SE of the UK. Oh… I’m last again! Don’t know quite how that happened? ?
Great golden buttons all round… but special mention to @scribbs for his continued inspiration in my own work. ???
John your mechs look awesome.
My brother got lucky this week and found Battletech a game of armored combat on Philibert and it already arrived so we are going to be delving in that as well. Which is great as we are both big fans of the computer games.
I also found a youtube channel (BlackPantsLegion) that brings out good history clips about specific mechs and how they came to be, great while you are painting or getting through the boring parts of the work day.
I’ve watched all of their tex talks battletech videos on the channel, its great.
It’s been super wet here in QLD, which was a great excuse to get my War of the Ring stuff painted, which I’m about to update my project with.
Cheers for the buttbuttding. Cherry on top of my birthday weekend. The games I always wanted to get into were Necromunda and Blood Bowl. I love the aesthetic and lore of Necromunda and loads of the models look cool… But the rules look pretty bitty and gritty and spread out over too many books for what is meant to be a skirmish game. Blood Bowl was cool the once or twice I played it and some of the team models look awesome, but I never bit the bullet and picked a team. The latest starter set with Nobles Vs Black… Read more »
Thanks very much for the Golden Button, that’s made my Sunday.
@brennon I don’t have that many unpainted WHQ left, my younger self was fairly diligent in working through most of the models. I think it’s just the minotaurs, spiders and some of the bats left. Not sure if I will manage to squeeze them in before the end of the Spring Clean Challenge, but I’m going to try and get them all done before the end of the year.
Happy Sunday indeed! Thanks for another entertaining show, and huge congratulations to all the Golden Button winners!
Yay it’s the XLBS Show.
