First! Now I’ll go watch the show 🙂
It’s the XLBS Show………..Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs!
I’ll paint League of Ausburg or Nine Years War stuff for you if its 6 or 10mm
I’ve seen ordinary figures and flats mixed together online and it looks fine so maybe do the flats with traditional figures for the command part of the unit?
Might be hard putting the Irish side together using the wofun stuff though
Miniatures all the way for me – I’d be happy to help with painting.
Thanks very much for the Golden Button. The Wiglaf figures are based on 1p coins.
I’d be up for painting up a unit or two for the Boyne. Pendraken might be a good range to consider; their League of Ausberg stuff is very nice. Would you take on the basing yourselves to get a consistent look?
I’d happily sit and paint for you. Mainly to see what the reaction would be from my Irish wife about the subject matter
Surprise surprise… I vote to paint for you. I saw a shelf of Fallschirmjäger that Andy Z painted years ago in the cage on one of my visits to HQ and was in awe. Anything to have minis in OTT hands that I painted would be very cool.
I have a partially torn achilles tendon so have more time at home to paint if you need me. ?
I would love to paint some mini
s for you guy
s, but there are two factors on it happening. 1 postal service, and 2 the dead line on getting the minis back to you. Other than that, i see no problems. Now i need to nip back to the weekender, and finish watching it.Have a great Sunday, later guy`s.
Hope to see miniatures – and by the way the buzz lightyear armadillo space ship is 45 euro in german amazon …..they have watched the show to
I’ll be happy to help out and paint some miniatures.
@warzan don’t worry about your performance on the DnD game it was a blast. It’s always great to have warzan the barbarian in the adventure. Although I think Zook my Gnome will need counselling.
@warzan I am happy to do some figure painting for the big battle. 6mm , 15mm or 28mm ?
Awesome this week, in both scale and retelling of drunken warzan. I’d love to help on painting but Giftmas prep is in full swing. I even ‘took some time off’ to do other painting. Start your end of year list early as the end of it will be here soon enough.
Hi @warzan, please don’t worry about the DND session, we were glad to be able to brighten your day and bring some gaming joy to Cloughmills! Food was excellent company brilliant and the selection of inebriating beverages expansive ? I did tell you to stay off the Plum Brandy, that Sh!t can make you blind!! As the DM I really enjoy the players running with the narrative, and what’s better than a naked Barbarian running around carrying a very reluctant gnome papoose stylee with your manhood in his face whilst you get lost. Also thought the “if the tomb won’t… Read more »
Thanks also go to @avernos for setting up the Judge Dredd game, just the right amount of underhanded, backstabbing, double dealing to set us up for the Saturday night session???
that was an blast and I won 😀 Judge Fish for the win 😀
I have photographic evidence…..
It’s funny how I seem to find those cheap Toy space ships , that Warren gets, I got that big Buzz Lightyear dropship from the Entertainer for about £15 a few weeks back. Plan to use it for Stargrave/Infinity.
Think it would be better as mini’s much more impressive, especially when taking it to any events. I think you may get more people staying than just walking by with mini’s. I would be happy to support painting in most scales, 75mm rank and file? Looking forward to learning more about this. if we can put dibs on what regiments I would say any Scottish ones :), never even knew they were there.
Very happy to help with the painting, esp with all the ships you’ll need. I think the miniatures route will have more of a showstopper effect.
How many eunuchs is only half the question. How many before? And how many after?
And since I’m being a smart arse, I’d paint some minis for yers – and given the way the conversation is going I don’t mind painting either side 🙂
Happy Sunday! 00:00 Yes… because I’d fear for my well being otherwise! 04:30 Still waiting for the question 11:00 still waiting… 13:30 sure thing…. depending on what quality you want 😉 Just send them my way. If sending to the continent is an option to begin with. @avernos 14:00 There are some who call me…. Tim! 25:00 Maps! 41:00 slip of the tongue… still alcohol in the system mate? 43:00 Skellibobs! 43:15 That’s the most Gerry thing that you could do @lloyd “I just have them” 45:15 relaxing stance 46:30 the great teaser 47:45 TENSIONS RISING! 50:30 OH NOES! 51:30… Read more »
Happy Sunday.
I like the idea of those standees. They really look the part when arrayed all in a line. I guess some miniatures could be added for key characters or to fill in when there are no standees, kind like the best of both worlds really.
Those glass men really do look brilliant.
Happy to paint some little chaps
What colour were the space marines at the Battle of the Boyne?
pink
@avernos @warzan Hi guys, WoFun, probably too fiddly to get right that it would be almost as much faff as going actuaal minis but do check out they have an ECW range. Click on the products button under the Trafalger option, opens up other links. Warlords epic Pike & Shot is probably a bit to of with look, although close enough if you want to paint scheme a solution. But spot on range with flags and everything in the slightly smaller 10mm and @torros I think volunterring to paint 10 mil already on board 🙂 https://www.pendraken.co.uk/league-of-augsburg-570-c.asp No idea how it… Read more »
Could you add the podcast please..
Also you have to do this project, one of my ancestors was an officer at the Boyne.
What a fun show 😀
I’ll be happy to help with some painting, if it’s 10mm or bigger.
I would prefer to see miniatures.I would happily paint a unit or two for the Boyne project. Would also be happy to make some buildings if you can supply pictures plans etc.
