Come and join us for another delve into the Forums and Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great looking pieces this week...

...make sure to always let us know what YOU have been working on and share it across the site.

Old Witch's Dancing Hut by tmsmnns

The first project we're going to be looking at is an absolute stunner from the one and only tmsmnns. He took one of the Grymkin Battle Engines from Hordes and seriously went to town on it, creating an utter masterpiece of painting and hobby.

Old Witch's Hut #1 by tmsmnns

This is an absolutely amazing piece as I think you'll agree. It has been painted superbly and every single aspect of it has another level of detail for you to delve into. The wood effect, in particular, is really what catches your eye here. However, this is just the exterior. Wait until you see inside!

Old Witch's Hut #2 by tmsmnns

Not only is the outside of this Witch's Hut a marvel but the inside has been entirely decked out with living quarters and more featuring furniture and all sorts. So much work has gone into really pushing this to the next level, presenting you with a narrative as well as a gaming piece.

You could probably spend a good hour looking through all of the little things tmsmnns has put into this project. I love the study here with the Genestealer head on the desk, clearly showing that this Witch has some mystical powers!

Old Witch's Hut #3 by tmsmnns

Everything about this piece is just dripping with character and this is just the start of the detailed imagery for this project. Make sure you follow the link above as tmsmnns has gone into even more detail, exploring every crevice of this creation. He even caught his son peering around inside the piece with a headtorch so he wouldn't miss anything!

World War II Germans by aurorainbag

Next up we're heading to the desert of Africa with some Historical miniatures by aurorainbag. She knew little to nothing about this period of warfare but wanted to give painting models for Bolt Action a go. Here are the results of her first squad!

WWII Germans #1 by aurorainbag

A lot of detail work has gone into aurorainbag's work as per usual. She has managed to not only capture their uniforms but also the character of the soldiers too, braving a little extra detail in the facial details and even added pupils to their eyes!

WWII Germans #2 by aurorainbag

I think for someone who didn't know much about World War II this is a fantastic first crack at building up a unit and getting the uniforms to look spot on for the period. It's certainly much better than my very standard 'Army Man' grey Germans that I painted for use in Bolt Action.

The basing work here is great too, using those rough tufts to help give a sense of their battlefield and also to help break up the monotony of boring old desert bases.

Maidens Of The Dragon by amachan

Last but not least we're looking to the work of amachan who painted up the Maidens Of The Dragon by Perfect Six Miniatures.

Maidens Of The Dragon #1 by amachan

These ladies are looking very swish indeed and would work awesomely as role-playing characters or the leaders of warbands in your skirmish games. Of the four I really like Bronwyn (middle left) and Beltrix (far right) as I think the schemes there have really popped.

The use of such vibrant colours really conveys the Fantastical tone of the miniatures and I love how the skin tones have been used to provide a nice contrast to the rest of the model. You can see more of the progress on this project over on the link above so make sure to give in there and give amachan some votes for sure an amazing set of tutorials.
