Come and join us for another delve into the Forums and Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great looking pieces this week...

...make sure to always let us know what YOU have been working on and share it across the site.

Void Pirates by piers

First off we're checking out some work by piers who has left his usual metal miniatures behind and instead has created these awesome characters for use in games of Kill Team. Here we have his Void Pirates.

Void Pirates #1 by piers

This range of characters look like they have gone through some awesome kitbashing before they came to life and provide us with a rather epic looking and unique Kill Team for use in your games. There is so much painting skill worked into these miniatures with a nice choice of colours, highlighting, shading and even basing too.

Void Pirates #2 by piers

One of the big things with Kill Team is that is should encourage you to play around with cool ideas and create characters that are unique to you and the story you want to tell on the tabletop. I think that piers has been able to achieve that here as you can see using lots of older and new miniatures.

Here is a look at more of the team that has yet to be painted and, wow, it's rather awesome to see what is coming down the pipeline.

I think it's going to be awesome seeing how those hulking characters are going to come to life as well as that machine creation in the back too. I love how gribbly all of these bitz are and they are just screaming John Blanche in their designs...just with better painting.

We'd love to see more of these unique looking Kill Teams coming to the fore from you guys and hopefully, this will inspire some of you!

Dancing In The Moonlight by onlyonepinman

Next up we have the work from onlyonepinman who is doing something very special for someone. This gift shows off not only a nice choice of models but also some incredible skill in creating the vignette.

Dancing In The Moonlight #1 by onlyonepinman

I think you'll agree that this is a wonderful moment captured in time for this Prince and Princess and I love the addition of the little bits of snow around the base to help tell the fairy tale of this scene.

Making this complete onlyonepinman went the extra step and placed all of this within a wonderful glass bauble.

We say a lot about the fact that we love our hobby and take pride in our work but this is going a step beyond as this truly is a proper labour of love. The white/cream/gold mix has come out very nicely indeed across the model and even though both of the characters are light haired nothing has been lost and there's still a great deal of contrast between both of them.

A superb gift and I hope that the person who receives this enjoys it very much!

Carnevale Black Spectre by jocke

Last but not least we're looking to the world of Carnevale and this amazing Black Spectre that was painted by jocke.

Carnevale Black Spectre by jocke

Carnevale is a game full of awesome characters and dynamic sculpts and this Black Spectre is no different. The work that has done into the fellow amidst the shadows is awesome and then magnified by the spectre behind him. I love the blending of the colours going up from that clear look through to the dark purple.

The white of the mask is also subtle but magnificent and I love the purple/blue hue to it. This monstrous piece is one of the reasons why Carnevale is so fun to get stuck into, a dark and grim world filled with colourful characters!
