Adeptus Titanicus by biddopaintsminis

We start off this week with something small as seems to be a tradition. Well, this seems small but it's actually a Titan! See what you make of the work by biddopaintsminis who has been working on this impressive first Titan in their collection.

Titan #1 by Biddopaintsminis

This is a Warhound Titan, one of the particularly iconic walkers from the world of Warhammer 40,000. Considering this is the first of the Titans in their collection, I think this is looking fantastic. I think the red looks great and I like the way it blends very nicely with the metallic portions of the Titan.

Titan #2 by Biddopaintsminis

There are then little things that set this miniature off. I think that the glowing green eyes give the miniature a menacing quality and draw the eye to the face. You've also got strategic use of the transfers which helps add a bit more character to the piece.

Titan #3 by Biddopaintsminis

Overall, a fantastic first Titan that is no doubt going to be the pride of place within their collection. The only thing I would potentially add to these larger miniatures is some more clutter on the bases. It is stomping through a desolate battlefield of course but maybe a few ruins could be added just to give a sense of scale and devastation.

Symbaroum Miniatures by onlyonepinman

Next up, we have a fascinating project from onlyonepinman. They have been doing a long-running game of Symbaroum, a roleplaying game by Free League Publishing. This has been going so long that they have now amassed quite a lot of miniatures that could be used in their games at the table and now, perhaps in some wargames.

Symbaroum Miniatures #1 by onlyonepinman

In this particular project, onlyonepinman has been collecting all of their painted miniatures that have been designed for their roleplaying group. As well as detailing all of the different characters and how they fit into the world, they have also been showing off all of the other miniatures that have been inspired by Symbaroum.

The miniatures have come from all over the place. Some are from The Lord Of The Rings, some are from Footsore and The Barons' War. I love that all of them have come together to create a range of miniatures that serve to illustrate not only onlyonepinman's adventures but also the world of Sumbaroum as a whole.

The collection is vast and the project is just as massive. There are so many details worked into the various posts describing how these miniatures work within their collection and the world of Symbaroum. I love this idea, and it's exactly what so many roleplaying fans enjoy doing; collecting handfuls of miniatures every so often in order to make their worlds come alive.

Royal Marine Bust by wolf320f

Last but not least, we have a look at some of the work by wolf320f. They have been working on something a bit different, a bust that they 3D printed.

Royal Marine Bust #1 - wolf320f

This has been quite an interesting one for wolf320f who has gone through the wringer it seems when it comes to painting this. Working on a bust is different from a normal miniature simply due to the detail that is on offer! A lot of techniques are the same but you also need to drop a bunch more effort into making it pop.

Royal Marine Bust #2 - wolf320f

I think that wolf320f has done a great job on this bust, even with the added problems that arose during the painting process. The camouflage works really, really nicely and I think the extra level of weathering and such on the uniform makes it pop. It feels really realistic.

Royal Marine Bust #3 - wolf320f

The facial details have then been picked out really well too. You get the sense of the man behind the uniform and wolf320f has clearly gone the extra mile when it comes to working out the shading and highlighting of the face.

When I first started work on a bust, it didn't look half as good as this! So, I doff my cap to wolf320f for bringing this to life. It would be neat to see what other busts they work on in the near future.
