Stargrave Crew by dugthefug1644

We start with Stargrave because it's Stargrave Week! dugthefug1644 has been doing some sterling work on a crew for this Osprey skirmish game using a rather unique looking crew. This is Captain Maughan Vars from The Talons of Solubris as the crew of the Peregrine.

Stargrave Crew #1 by dugthefug1644

This is a really awesome looking character that is giving me some Howard The Duck/Ducktales vibes. I love the theme for the character that plays around with the depth and breadth available as part of the Sci-Fi genre. Why wouldn't you have a space duck soldier leading his crew into highjinks?

Stargrave Crew #2 by dugthefug1644

This style of miniature continues into more of the crew as you can see above. Plenty of work has been done on these miniatures to make them feel grounded and realistic as well as awesomely Sci-Fi. I still can't get over how awesome the duck faces look.

As with all of the projects from dugthefug1644 there is plenty of detail for you to dive into as part of the project. There is a big section on painting the miniatures as well as working on the bases. You'll also find a nice chunk of lore in there too which is integral for anyone planning to get stuck into a skirmish campaign game I reckon.

Adeptus Titanicus by carlospictor

Next up, we're sticking with Sci-Fi but this time in 10mm. Here we have some work on the miniatures from Adeptus Titanicus and this towering miniature for their Legio Astorum (Warp Runners) army on the tabletop.

Adeptus Titanicus #1 by carlospictor

carlospictor continues to do stunning work when it comes to putting brush to miniature. I love the scheme and all of the intricacies worked into the various armour plates, shields and weapons. The blue works really well and I like the painted on battle damage which really adds to the story of this Titan and its fights across the battlefields of the grimdark future.

Adeptus Titanicus #2 by carlospictor

The back of the miniature is just as impressive even though so much of it is given over to the inner workings of the Titan. I think it helps provide a nice contrast to the blue and gold features across the miniature and it also helps to give things a sense of scale.

The vehicle on the base also helps to add to that sense of scale and whilst it's a small thing (hah), I think it really helps break up the otherwise ruined landscape that the Titan is walking over. I hope this is just the first of the miniatures for this Titan Legion and we've got more to look forward to.

Infinity by chaosgorka

chaosgorka is back with us painting some more Infinity and this time he's doing it for the folks at the Nova Open Charity Fund. So, not only is this getting painted up to look amazing but it's for a good cause as well. A good way to round out a bit of a Sci-Fi special.

NEW Infinity #1 by chaosgorka

The miniatures this time around are for the Military Orders Action Pack and are a good way to sink your teeth into something PanOceania. I really like the incredibly bold contrast that you've got here and a scheme that tends more towards the comic book. I think it works quite well for the manga/anime-inspired world of Infinity.

NEW Infinity #2 by chaosgorka

The set has come together really nicely. I do like the green swords in particular which work nicely next to the deep blue armour. The cream-white is crisp and cleanly done and compliments the highlighting on the armour plating very well. The little flashes of red throughout also help draw you to specific elements of the miniature.

NEW Infinity #3 by chaosgorka

It is well worth exploring more of the Project linked above (for all of these entries) as there are plenty of fascinating skills and tips for you to pick up for your own miniatures. I think it would be great to see more people attempting to paint their Infinity miniatures in this style for example. I think Ariadna and Haqqislam would look particularly good in this style. It's a brave set of techniques but it works exceptionally well.
