Come and join us for another delve into the Forums and Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great looking pieces this week...

...make sure to always let us know what YOU have been working on and share it across the site.

A Song Of Ice & Fire by foehammer888

We're kicking things off with the work by foehammer888 on some awesome miniatures for the Lannisters in A Song Of Ice & Fire. Leading the way we have the Mountain's Men who are a band of surly knights who fight for the terrifying Clegan brother (to be honest, both are pretty scary).

A Song Of Ice & Fire #1 by foehammer888

The painting here is top notch and I love how the armour has come across in the scheme. The armour looks in keeping with a band of angry warriors on the road with plenty of grit to it but also enough of a sheen to show that they care about the plates that protect them from harm!

The yellow works as a nice accent to this as well and breaks up the mass of metal on these miniatures. It's a good signifier of who these warriors fight for matching up to the banner.

If you want to meet some of the characters that you can include in your force then foehammer888 is also working on that with a superbly painted Tyrion Lannister...

...and work going into Sandor Clegane as well. The work on these characters looks fantastic and it's nice to see lots of them coming to life as well as the rank and file units too.

I particularly liked the work going into Tyrion who gets that pomp and ceremony of the Lannisters but also a slight edge of desperation as he carried that dull and mundane looking axe into combat. The base really helps to place the miniature in a particular setting too, letting you know Tyrion isn't safe right now!

Boba Fett by graystoak

Next up we're going from one massive IP to another with the painting on Boba Fett by graystoak.

Boba Fett #1 by graystoak

The painting on this particular character caught my eye because of how accurate to the movie version of it it was. I think it looks just like the outfit from the films down to the battlefield damage that has been added across the armoured plates.

Boba Fett #2 by graystoak

There is a real grizzled look to Boba Fett which I think is warranted due to his line of work. The subtle camo work on his cloak is also very well done indeed and works to complement the miniature rather than take away from the poppier colours on the model.

Once again we're seeing the base place the miniature in a particular moment in time as he works to find his target on Tatooine perhaps?

Tunguska Nomads by tanath

Last but not least we're looking to more from the world of Infinity as tanath has finished work on some Tunguska Nomads as a commission.

The perfect blend of blue and white on these miniatures is quite the sight to behold and I love the little patterns that we're seeing worked into the armour too. That subtle mesh-like look that you can see on some of the miniatures really pushes up that Sci-Fi factor another step.

A few dashes of colour here and there with purples and pinks help to get you back into that Nomad mindset rather than immediately thinking PanO or ALEPH too. The darker basing also serves to frame the miniatures very well and means that these characters will feel at home across a variety of different urban tabletops.
