Come and join us for another delve into the Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great-looking miniature wargaming painting and hobbying this week...

American War Of Independence by henrileite

Leading the way for this week, we have a look at what henrileite has been working on for the American War Of Independence. The miniatures here have come from the Perry Miniatures collection but they are destined to be used across a variety of different games.

American War Of Independence #1 by henrileite

This is a project which is focusing in on trying to finish off the rest of the War Of Independence that exists within this collection. Considering that the last while has been pretty big for this particular period of history, it seems apt that we'd see a bunch of models coming together for various factions.

The painting here is great and it's neat to see the clean and well-defined painting from henrileite. I think it suits these particular miniatures, especially with those prim and proper uniforms. That cream colour looks great and is a little bit dirty which is perfect. It complements the red coats nicely as well.

This project has been growing and changing very nicely over the last little while and there is much more to come I don't doubt. I particularly liked that some of the fellows leading these units have got that grizzled stubble look going on. It's well worth diving deeper into the collection to see what else henrileite has coming up.

FOGH - Gold Button

Commander Mikołaj Abrahamowicz by FOGH

Next up, we're heading a little bit back in time and looking at the work of FOGH. They have painted up the particularly badass-looking Commander Mikołaj Abrahamowicz!

Commander Mikolaj Abrahamowicz #1 by FOGH

This miniature has been painted up for the expanding Polish And Lithuanian Commonwealth army that FOGH has been working on. Whilst some of the miniatures here have come from Warlord, others have come from TAG, Foundry and 1898 Miniatures. I think it makes for a great vignette as well as being a good option for a commander figure in the midst of battle.

More awesomeness comes from the fact that FOGH has been expanding and updating this project with historical details. You could sit and read the various entries for quite a while and get quite the bug to have a pop at some Historical wargaming yourself!

As well as going through the history behind the character, we've also got plenty of information on how the miniature was brought to life through painting. PLUS, if you want to get your hands on that flag that you see in the image above, FOGH has added that to the project. Download it and start waving your flag for the Polish And Lithuanian Commonwealth.

World War II Tanks by crazyredcoat

Last but not least, we're looking at the work of crazyredcoat. They have been working on a few bits and pieces but I was particularly drawn to the World War II vehicles. The first of the models we're going to look at has had a glow up. It started like this...

...and turned into this! As you can see, another level of depth has been added to the miniature and lots more detail has been picked out. I also really like the camouflage pattern that crazyredcoat added to the vehicle, pushing it to the next level.

WWII Vehicles #2 by crazyredcoat

What I quite liked about this was that it shows that you can "finish" something and then work towards updating it when you feel more comfortable. You can start out with a basic scheme for gameplay and then update it once all of the big army painting work has been moved aside. Awesome.

We also got to see a rather splendidly painted up Churchill. I love how big and chonky these tanks are. I don't think you'd want to present your side armour to an enemy tank.

WWII Vehicles #3 by crazyredcoat

There is much more to dive into from this particular Project if you want to get a look at everything else crazyredcoat has been working on. I should say that I was really liking the look of the Space Marines they have been working on. BUT, I wanted to try and keep things Historical for this Community Spotlight!
