Fallout: Hollywood Heroes by darkdanegan

We start off this week's Community Spotlight with a look at what darkdanegan has been working on. They have been rolling with the Fallout vibe at the moment and painted up the Hollywood Heroes from Modiphius for use in Wasteland Warfare.

Fallout Hollywood Heroes #1 by darkdanegan

darkdanegan has done a superb job on these miniatures, bringing them to life and making them fit into the world created by the TV show. I think Lucy looks awesome, especially her Vault-Tec jumpsuit. Maximus also looks excellent and I think the metallic finish on the armour has a real depth to it which is the only way I know how to describe it!

Fallout Hollywood Heroes #2 by darkdanegan

The deadly Ghoul andΒ CX404 also look fantastic. I really like the textures that darkdanegan has been able to work into the schemes and I like that all of the little details have been picked out. Picking up the facial details on the Ghoul's ruined face is awesome and I like that attention has been paid to all of the colour variations inΒ CX404's fur.

Fallout Hollywood Heroes #3 by darkdanegan

The added bit of weathering and dirt that has been thrown onto the bases helps to blend the characters into them and looks great. It's a simple process but a step that if missed would probably have made the miniatures look a bit jarring. It's something that I need to do more of with my miniatures. Make sure to check out the project above for more progress on these miniatures.

Ultramarines Terminators by guillotine

Next up, we're checking out the work of guillotine who has been working on their Warhammer 40,000 Ultramarines. The most recent additions to the army included these stunning Terminators.

Ultramarine Terminators #1 by guillotine

guillotine has done some amazing work on these Terminators. I had seen the first of these pop up a little while back but wanted to wait for the entire squad to be done before the button was bestowed. The deep blue is great and I really like the warm white and the red that have been used to draw the eye. The shimmering power sword then stands out well and these miniatures as a whole are framed really well by the snowy bases.

Ultramarine Terminators #2 by guillotine

I also have to commend anyone who tackles hazard stripes and I think guillotine has done a superb job here on the power fist. I'd like to think that the Terminators would be aware of how dangerous their own weapons were. The miniatures are then heightened all the more by the amount of battle damage that you get worked into the armour. It looks ace!

Ultramarine Terminators #3 by guillotine

This is a bloody great set of miniatures and it would be amazing to see these on the tabletop doing their thing. The new Terminators kit is a great one and I think that guillotine has done a fantastic job on bringing them to life. I might need some Terminators in my life now.

Full Spectrum Dominance Terrain byΒ hazyboy75

Last but not least, we're checking out the work by hazyboy75. They recently got their hands on the Tech and Enlisted from Full Spectrum Dominance, printed by ROK Minis and needed to get some terrain done to build up a gaming table for more adventures with the game. That's where a friend's printer went mad and started crafting terrain.

Full Spectrum Dominance Terrain #1 by hazyboy75

hazyboy75 has then been working on painting the amazing little pieces of art from The Lazy Forger to life and getting them ready for the tabletop. I think the schemes for the various buildings look superb and it's neat to see plenty of rust and dirt in the mix. You also get brighter colours popping up here and there to make the terrain look less punishingly post-apocalyptic and ruined.

Full Spectrum Dominance Terrain #2 by hazyboy75

A good use of rust effect does plenty of the heavy lifting but you still need to apply it in the right way. You can't swamp your miniatures in the stuff or it doesn't end up doing the job you intended. It all came together in the end, well, after a little bit of a cat-based accident at one point. Here you can see the finished piece!

Full Spectrum Dominance Terrain #3 by hazyboy75

This is a brilliant set-up and a fun compound for doing battle in Full Spectrum Dominance. It's awesome seeing these tiny wargames getting painted up so lovingly and I can't wait to see where hazyboy75 takes the project next.
