Age Of Sigmar Nighthaunt by panzerkaput

We start out with panzerkaput who has taken up a new challenge. They were recently drawn into The Mortal Realms by the new Skaventide boxed set and the rest of the awesome miniatures from the range. The first port of call though was to get an army of Nighthaunt looking spook and span.

Nighthaunt #1 by panzerkaput

The work on the Nighthaunt here is absolutely stunning and I am in awe of the work that panzerkaput has done here. I have always flirted around the edges of this faction but have been quite daunted by the painting side of things. I think the techniques that panzerkaput has used here are spot-on. It carries on throughout the whole of the army.

Nighthaunt #2 by panzerkaput

What's quite nice to see is that panzerkaput has been lured in and is genuinely feeling passionate about the painting of the armies and getting them ready for the tabletop. Spearhead is the focus of their attention and building armies that match so that they can try out different armies and delve into all that Warhammer Age Of Sigmar has to offer. I think you'll agree that these Nighthaunt are a great start.

Nighthaunt #3 by panzerkaput

I always like seeing the photography from panzerkaput which is great for showcasing the miniatures and giving you a sense of how they'd look on the tabletop. When you see the whole army arrayed like this, you get a great sense of how the paint scheme works together alongside the basing to create a cohesive army. I can't wait to see what panzerkaput does with the Skaventide box and the two armies within.

Star Schlock by taochi

Next up, we're leaving the world of The Mortal Realms behind and heading to far-flung star systems. Star Schlock has allowed taochi to return to the retro Sci-Fi that they love and paint up some amazing miniatures who are going to get stuck into some raygun-based action.

Star Shlock #1 by taochi

taochi has been tinkering with the miniatures from the core set and showing off some fun painting. I really like the schemes that taochi has picked which is in line with the look of Star Trek but with a bit more added into the mix. The colours have been chosen to accurately represent the crew members' roles on the ship. taochi has done a superb job here and I like the detail that he has gone into.

Star Shlock #2 by taochi

As well as this dashing crew of aliens and humans going out to explore the galaxy, taochi has also painted up a set of miniatures for The Simian Empire. These folks are clearly going to be doing a lot of monkeying around.

Star Shlock #3 by taochi

Both of the crews are already looking great. I also like the work done on the bases, especially with plenty of alien grass. Those wild grass colours really help to sell the Sci-Fi look. I hope that we get to see more from Star Schlock and maybe some gameplay in the near future.

Warhammer Dwarf Slayers by minigiant

Last but not least, we have something of an indulgence on my part. I get to write these Community Spotlights so you'll have to enjoy me looking at an awesome Dwarf Slayer army from minigiant.

Dwarf Slayer Army #1 by minigiant

This project is a little bit of a rework and an update of a classic Slayer army to fit with Warhammer: The Old World. Lots and lots of classic metal Dwarf Slayers have returned to the tabletop but with weapon-based tweaks to mean that even though this makes use of "standard" Dwarf units, they all have that Slayer look. For example, the unit above represents Hammerers in the army. The same goes for minigiant's Quarellers and Thunderers.

An amazing range of classic Dwarf Slayer Pirates have also made it into this army. Long Drong had a great set of companions for you to use on your battlefields and it's awesome to see so many of them making it back to the tabletop for more games.

Dwarf Slayer Army #2 by minigiant

As if this wasn't enough, minigiant has also used inspiration from the lore to create these ghostly Dwarfen allies based on Gotrek & Felix's journeys within Karak Eight Peaks.

Dwarf Slayer Army #3 by minigiant

If you thought those ghosts were cool, minigiant has also painted up an excellent miniature for Balkrag Grimgorson who you'll need to check out over on the project. There is also a towering Dwarf Slayer Giant, Gyrocopters/bombers and more. It's a proper awesome suite of Dwarfs for you to get excited about.
