Let’s Play: Checkpoint Charlie With Devir Games
May 27, 2017 by johnlyons
We've got the gang in the cage with us today and we're checking out a little memory, mystery solving game of Checkpoint Charlie from Devir Games.
Much like a Guess Who on steroids this game is fantastic for those quick reactions and memorizing your opponents dealings.
You too can play along with us by trying to solve who you think the suspect is. Give it a go! Bet you can't solve them all!
How's your memory lately?

Nice game!
Great looking game looks like lots of fun, would mind that for my group of friends to try. Nice!
How does the clues work with less than 5 players?
It does seem to be a game for exactly five
That said, I do sometimes holiday with exactly four people …
Great game to play with the kids too. Stimulates the mind. Definitely would help with memorization skills.
First off, I am glad BoW is getting into Board Games and not just miniatures. While I love miniatures, I play Board Games more because it is more approachable to more of my friends. Second, it adds some nice variety to BoW and hopefully brings along a larger audience. I have been following the Checkpoint Charlie game on facebook and hope to get to play it at Origins in June. It seems to be a great game to play with children and non-gamers. I just wish it could be scaled to 8 players so it could be a party game.
Nice to see David back to doing what he does so well, left field game design – it got a unique feeling even if it is just 5 binary counters
Did David design this? I believe he did a Fanhunter game for Devir but José Antonio Abascal is listed as the designer for this one.
That’s correct. The designer of checkpoint Charlie is Jose Antonio Abascal.
On my side, I did design Fanhunter: Urban Warfare.
Nice little deduction game. I just wonder how well it plays with fewer than 5 players.
nice game i think i could get my son to play
Looks like great fun, my kids would play this for sure.. Looks on Amazon could not see it, will have to search around for it. Maybe it will be a UKGE.
It will be at the UKGE at the Devir booth.
This game may very well replace the Resistance for me. It’s a bit more engaging and has a lot less yelling.
This game is going on my Expo list for sure
My wife would love this one.
fun game. I agree with Justin it would be an awesome pub game; when you are 3 parts drunk; the confusion and chaos that would cause in identifying the spy cat would be true hilarity. Great to see Messr. Esbri again.
This looks so much fun.
Interesting game, I agree would be fun with my kids.
Looks like a nice easy game to pick up. Would be great for when the nieces and nephews come over as well. Would definitely bring quite a bit of thought out in my regular gaming group though, a bit of a competitive bunch :).
Excellent looking fun game.
That’s a cool party game. It feels like a mix between Clue and Mastermind.
I do think it gets better (at least to spectate) when fueled with a bit of alcohol.
And I’m wondering how it is played with less than 5 people. Aren’t you always missing some clues then?
Cool game!
I love games like this, so much fun. Is the game for only 5 players, can you play with more or less? Doesn’t really look like it.
What a fun little game 🙂
Think this will be on my list if I can find it at the UK Expo.
It will be there at the Devir booth 😉
Love this game
I’m definitely getting this. Love these fun easy games. Good game for my holiday.
Seems fun, but remembers me a kind who is who?
