Carnevale Is Set To Return To The Tabletop!
June 12, 2014 by brennon
The folks behind Carnevale are looking to bring this game of Venetian gang fighting and intrigue back to the tabletop soon with a message posted on Facebook this afternoon...
Hi!
It’s been a while hasn’t it? Well, it’s been a pretty convoluted time for us here, but we’ve finally managed to clear out everything that was getting in the way and we’re gearing up to relaunch Carnevale the way it deserves to be put out!
So we’re here to give you a couple hints of what’s going on with us at this moment. We’ve just commissioned the miniatures for the Starter Sets of the two new factions that we announced on our last Kickstarter, in order to have them ready for… our next Kickstarter!
We’ve read all your feedback regarding our last campaign, and we will set up the next one better with the help of all of you. We’ll be putting everything together this summer, so we can launch the next crowdfunding campaign in autumn.
We will work hard to put the word out, and we will turn up the volume as the months go by. At this moment we expect to be super busy to put all the pieces in place - so don’t expect us to start releasing stuff right away. But keep an eye on this space, because we are coming back!

So while it was all quiet on the Venetian front for a while it looks like they are set up to come back with a bang. Were you a big Carnevale fan and what would you like to see change when they bring this back to life!?

;/ Their last kickstarter campaing was a disaster :/
I will watch for this, I just looked at some old videos that Warren and Sam did for the game. Looks interesting.
I loved Carnevale, in my opinion it one of the most interesting back stories I have come across. Very excited to see it making a come back. Ser Pantalone shall rise once more!
Was quite interested in the game when I first heard about it hear, I’ll keep an eye on this one.
Glad to read this. Carnevale is possibly the most stylish tabletop game I’ve seen.
Hopefully it’ll get a bit more love this time around
Carnevale is a great game with some really interesting ideas in it. I think the Vesper On guys may have just been a bit overwhelmed with some of the non-gaming parts of publishing a game and producing minis. Marketing is hard. Hope they get the kinks worked out because this is a game that I’d like to see make a comeback. I’m not sure I want to live in a world where dual-pistol wielding Italian nobles of the enlightenment era engaged in parkour-laden combat in the streets against (amongst others) gymnastic vampire-hunting priests isn’t enough to pique the interest of… Read more »
I’m always a sucker for shiny Kickstarters :(. This could be another one by the look of it, especially is Warren gets excited by it all. I always bloody listen to everything he says.
Was it gone? How? Like no new releases or completely unavailable?
Never noticed…
I’ve got two starters for this but missed out on the rulebook when Wayland had their fire sale. Like the minis, never had a chance to play the game.
You can still download the rule book I believe.
First Wolsung and now this. Why must there be so many Kickstarters that want to take my money?! You’re going to get me divorced Kickstarter (& I don’t even get married until August).
@Dracs, I have said it before and I shall say it again, I really enjoyed your videos with warren. It was very clear to see that you really enjoyed it too, it looked like natural enjoyment imho and not cheesy fake interest. The sad thing is that I still have not dipped my toe into Carnevale due to the high number of other projects, but KS may just be the ticket for people to get a good healthy investment into this game. If the KS is done well, I can see it getting big. Sadly, in order to do so,… Read more »
Looking forward to checking this one out. I LOVED the Venice table in the previous video.
I do enjoy this game and have most of the minis…but some of them are very difficult to construct as they have tiny, tiny contact points. I’ll watch out for their new stuff but since I went kitchen sink on their indiego-go campaign a few years ago I really don’t need more. Great backstory/setting for a game though and I encourage folks to check it out!
