Building The US Studio Gaming Table: Part Two
January 26, 2018 by stvitusdancern
The Dames of Games, Dawn and Gianna take a trip over to Julio's Workshop to develop their custom made gaming table for the US Studio.
Julio Villarreal is a local (to the U.S. team) woodworker who single-handedly crafts gaming furniture at his Chicago based workshop.
In this second part of the three-part series we get to find out some extra pieces that goes into our custom table, plus getting involved with getting the base layers down before we add the beautiful colour finish.
Are you a violent dice thrower?
“Glue ’em and screw ’em” is how I feel when assembling rank and file minis.
Give a lass a power tool and queue the groovy music, love it lol
Not only am I a violent dice thrower, consequently I am a carpet crawler, too, preferably to old Genesis songs.
Julio is a master. Everything he does looks as if it is mega-easy and that´s how masters do it.
I’m surprised the table wasn’t screwed from the underside.
Personally i’m not, but my group does have one lad who simply cannot keep his dice on the table. And his dice travel further and further the more frustrated he gets if he feels the game is slipping away from him. We promised to get him a dice tray because he has no control, i’m going to get him one asap.
